I find it perplexing that the Pentagon redacted the word AATIP from my email. Two reasons to redact information legally 1: it’s classified. 2: it’s to protect an individual’s privacy. Neither is the case. A disturbing trend by the Pentagon to continue its lies. I guess EO 12958, Sec 1.8; and ODNI Classification Guide, Sec 2.2 don’t apply to the Pentagon? These documents strictly forbid classifying information to avoid embarrassment. By this reasoning, I guess they will redact the name AARO too? Congress should be enraged and so should the American people. Shameful and deceitful, period. I would expect this behavior from a third world’s military junta, but not that of a free society…unless we no longer are one.
