See this field? This beautiful field? The bandits at @StonebridgeHome are wanting to build 200 houses on this, houses for 2nd home vampires who bring nothing to #Whitby and do you know what? We're going to fight them tooth and nail, we will destroy this 1 way or another 😠
I once passed James Caan in the commissary at Paramount Pictures. He looked me over in my Data makeup and uniform and uttered just one word, “Working?” Honored. RIP
"I can pick up a screenplay and flip through the pages. If all I see is dialog, I won't even read it. I don't care how good the dialog is - it's a moving picture. A movie audience doesn't have the patience to sit and learn a lesson. Their eyes need to be dazzled."

Poetry isn't something you recite after you give up. It's the summoning and shouting and prayers before you charge at the gods you don't believe in. Live más.
You are the arbiter of your own happiness. Nothing and no one can make you happy unless you allow it to. And it takes a while to learn exactly how to do that.
At work this morning & said, "Do you know what? A bloke just dropped his money by the tills and do you know what he said?"
"What?"
"He said 'oh, bother' and I wish that was me. I wish I was the kind of person who says, 'Oh, bother' instead of 'for fuck's sake' 47 times a day."
Walking to work, thinking about that episode of My So Called Life where Juliana Hatfield played a guitar playing ghost....

Really enjoyed Ben Myers, The Perfect Golden Circle but his characteristic pessimism/misanthropy creeps in at the end a wee bit. But, hey, as anyone who's read my stories can tell you, I'm not innocent of that myself!
I have no MFA, no books, and no experience and have named myself the prestigious arbiter of taco bell literature. you can do whatever you want in the literary world. go write your beautiful novel.
I go from "this is the greatest thing I've ever written" to "nobody will EVER publish this" daily, if not hourly. However A) both statements can be true, and B) I'm enjoying the hell out of writing it.
So I'll go on.
My advice to anyone in a similar dilemma?
Go on.

"John Sayles read Frank Ray Perilli's script for the film once and then totally scrapped it. Sayles said it was set in Milwaukee and explained that the alligator grew gigantic because of beer."
Same here, Alligator, same here 😆
Day off work so naturally I'm laden with cold and feel like 🤢 So am catching up with a few hidden gems on shudder, starting with this absolute 💯 banger. Also has one of my favourite pieces of imdb trivia:
