So what happens to a school library when her district gets it by ransomware and everything is completely shut for the last two weeks? Go stir crazy!

Okay officially in panic mode....school year is starting later this year and I am still running out of time to accomplish what I need to before those kids come back

And whoever thought it was a great idea to start after labor day when we added days to the school year should be tortured either by spending the day with kindergarteners or Freshman.

So back to work next week. Two days of professional development workshops that are semi-worthless to a non-classroom teacher and honestly teachers in general. One day of meetings and prep. Worthless. Heading in this week to set up since I only have a half day to do so next week

@apustz unfortunately most professional development days created and run by school districts are usually wasted time....

@apustz ouch we had 2 including a half day at a ballpark for the district kick off event...no beer though that was disappointing

So it's nearly 7 on Sunday and just now am starting my planning for Freshman orientation tomorrow...procrastination rules

@apustz I forget WI is like Chicago and doesn't go back until after labor day. Do you have a full week of institute days or some free ones too?

5th day severe vandalism to one of the boys restrooms + we lost a student who can barely speak English. Can't wait for this weeks adventure.

4 days into the school year, & I have banned 1 student & kicked 6 more out of the library for skipping class. It's going to be a long year!
