So let me get this straight, Piers—one unhinged guy commits a crime, and suddenly the entire “woke left” is to blame? That’s some Olympic-level mental gymnastics. By your logic, every crime committed by someone on the right should be stamped as “conservative terrorism,” but I don’t see you sprinting to make that headline.
Violence is violence, yes. But let’s not pretend Charlie Kirk’s rhetoric was harmless nursery rhymes either. Words do have consequences—that’s why demagogues use them. Stop acting like every tragedy is a discount coupon for your culture-war hot takes.
BREAKING: Los Angeles Lakers All-NBA star Luka Doncic has signed a three-year, $165 million maximum contract extension with the franchise, with a player option in 2028, agent Bill Duffy of WME Basketball told ESPN.
Niggas be saying “Hulk Hogan was a part of my childhood, I can’t diss him” like he used to loan ya mama food stamps or some shit. Nigga you was watching him on TV get a fucking grip
Julian Brown has been missing for two weeks. His last post was on July 3, 2025. Before that, he shared concerns about his safety.
The FBA grassroots reached out to him early. We offered support and he turned us away. He rejected us multiple times and made it clear he didn’t want our help. When we brought up racial issues, he seemed offended by the very idea that racism could apply to him.
Now a white podcaster is speaking about him in the past tense, as if he already knows Julian is gone. But no one can confirm if he’s safe, in hiding, or worse.
Black inventors have historically been silenced or killed once their work becomes valuable. We’ve seen this play out before. We tried to reach him. He made his position clear. All we can do now is watch.

The waiver was needed to clear money below the first apron to sign Marcus Smart.
Goodwin had $25K in guaranteed salary.
The Lakers are $1M below the first apron after the Smart signing.
Why are white progressives defending what Zohran did? Yes, it's an obvious smear attempt. But he was wrong, just like Mindy Kaling's brother was wrong when he did it. Two things can be true at the same time. Stop idolizing politicians. Hold them accountable.

As you grow older, you begin to understand: your father was just a man trying his best with what he knew. Forgive him. He was living life for the first time, too.
My EDUCATION IDOL, Dr. Jawanza Kunjufu recently made his transition on April 21. I've known this for several days but I decided not to post anything about it until someone from his family made a statement which they now have.
I cannot overstate how much of this brother's work influenced mine. For those of you who know my books, you know that I keep them thin. I learned this from Jawanza back in the 80's and it worked for me. Since 1986, I knew I wanted to be an education speaker / consultant and during the 80's and early 90's while I was developing as a man and an educator, Jawanza was the only Black man that I saw in that space. Through him, I saw the future me.
I met Jawanza in around 2009. I was at the National Alliance of Black School Educators Conference. I was walking down the hall and we were about to pass one another. As we were about to pass one another, I said to him, "Dr. Kunjufu, I just want to shake your hand." As we shook hands, he said, "What's your name?" I said "Baruti Kafele." He dropped his bag on the floor and yelled, "Baruti, I have all of your books and I've followed your work for years!" He proceeded to give me a bear hug in that crowded hallway. I don't have to tell you all how that made me feel. You already know. Do know that I tried desperately to get him on my AP & New Principals Academy over the past several years but he REALLY didn't like to speak virtually. I vowed to myself recently that I would get him on this year, but it obviously won't happen now. I will be doing a tribute to him next Saturday morning on the Academy during my monologue.
Lastly, his writings on educating Black youth is unmatched. He was a prolific writer with approximately 50 books he authored on a variety of topics but his primary focus was Black youth with a particular focus on Black boys. Again, I cannot overstate how much of Jawanza influenced who and what I became as a speaker / consultant. It's a lot. The icing on the cake is the attached picture. It was taken in 2019. We were featured speakers at an education conference in North Carolina. When I found out, I was like, "WOW....Jawanza and I featured speakers at the same conference. Truly amazing."
To Dr. Kunjufu's family, my condolences to you all. We've lost a giant but his work will endure forever.
With the election just around the corner, I can’t stress enough how important it is to vote. Last cycle, Democrat Senator Tiara Mack from Rhode Island’s District 6 actually twerked for abortions and votes—and won. What an incredible display of Black excellence, right? This just goes to show the kind of “leadership” some people think represents progress. 🇺🇸⚔️⛑️
Jamal Trulove, who was wrongfully convicted of murder and served 7 years in prison while Kamala Harris was San Francisco’s District Attorney, sends a message to Charlamagne before his town hall with Kamala Harris, urging him to ask if she feels remorse for people like him and others wrongfully convicted under her administration.
Also, Jamal Trulove wants Charlamagne to ask Kamala Harris where she currently stands on helping those who are currently wrongfully convicted and still serving time.
