@mjyharris Thank you Micheal please God his connections think the same as you everyone has been through wonderful days with him but now is the time to do something different before it's too late
I don’t think I can remember a fall from grace quite as catastrophic as what we are witnessing with Constitution Hill. It doesn’t matter where your allegiances were this afternoon, when he fell I think as racing fans and horse lovers, we ALL had our hearts in our mouths and that desperate sinking feeling, in a really caring and protective way. The relief that we felt when we saw him cantering away was immense as visually the fall appeared to be a bad one.
I believe it all started in The International at Cheltenham when he made a mistake at the last. Something has triggered him that day and it is firmly in his memory bank. He’s not just falling, he’s lunging at his hurdles as if he has absolutely no coordination at all. A far cry from the horse who was slick and efficient over his obstacles. I feel sorry for him and it’s a real head scratcher.
I wouldn’t send him over fences. I wouldn’t give him a run on the flat. I would appreciate him for the fine racehorse he is, be grateful for the memories that he has given us, and the greatness that he has achieved as a racehorse, find him a home, and let him either find a new discipline, or just be turned out and hacked and let him lead a happy and relaxed life. He deserves to be allowed to be just a horse and be happy and worry free. Best of luck Constitution Hill. Thank you for the memories x
