Dark Cauldron

filled with interesting observations and relentless pragmatism that are sure to brighten your day.

Took my daughter to weekly little gym and couldn’t help but notice almost all the parents were overweight. Of course it’s great they’re trying to get their kids on a better path but the truth is in the data: the best way to avoid child obesity is for the parents to get in shape.

[Dark Cauldron @darkcauldron]

@TipOfTheBanana Not a nutrition professional, but it feels like a responsible decision to avoid anything with “rapeseed.”

[Dark Cauldron @darkcauldron]

@BarbellFi You’re lucky to be working with such an honest, low margin shop. That bill is cheap for all the services performed.

[Dark Cauldron @darkcauldron]

@unusual_whales Something not right with the data or definitions. Have a hard time believing 17% of 60+ y/o’s depend on parents for money. How many of their parents are even alive?

[Dark Cauldron @darkcauldron]

@exec_sum This should be illegal.

[Dark Cauldron @darkcauldron]

@EndWokeness Strangely he didn’t follow the normal curve of becoming a model citizen after the 2nd arrest.

[Dark Cauldron @darkcauldron]

@GuyDealership They tried the Porsche model of brand name + mass availability, but the quality was total garbage.

[Dark Cauldron @darkcauldron]

@bryanhasling Sadly, a lot of vulnerable people believed those commission thirsty idiots

[Dark Cauldron @darkcauldron]

My Lululemon workout clothes that I bought in 2016 are somehow holding up better than the equivalent shirts/ shorts I’ve bought from them in the last three years. They truly don’t make em like they used to.

[Dark Cauldron @darkcauldron]

@charliebilello So many of these are no-names. Almost as if the strategy is to become exclusive based on price alone. Maybe it’s impressive in elite circles to send your kids to Harvey Mudd?

[Dark Cauldron @darkcauldron]

@StockMKTNewz More evidence that no one knows anything when it comes to rate setting.

[Dark Cauldron @darkcauldron]

@JC_ParetsX Some of the best advice I ever got: “if something frustrates you, you can be mad, but set a timer for 5 minutes. After that drop it and just don’t be mad anymore.”

Quick way to improve your life.

[Dark Cauldron @darkcauldron]

The only thing worse than a conversation about the weather is conversation where people complain about the weather.

Just overheard a woman whining how it was too hot to enjoy the weekend and that even early in the morning it felt “miserable.” Was clearly frustrated that it ruined her weekend.

Life has become way too easy for some.

[Dark Cauldron @darkcauldron]

Always appreciate these super duper helpful product comparisons when browsing Amazon. Without this I could have easily bought a low intensity, not heat resistant, prone to corrosion multiport gasket with a SHORT service life. Thank goodness for this.

[Dark Cauldron @darkcauldron]

@MLFootball FAF

[Dark Cauldron @darkcauldron]

@CARandDRIVER All at a super reasonable price point. And I’m sure they’ll have many in stock for purchase…

[Dark Cauldron @darkcauldron]

@unusual_whales And the worst part is how many are sitting in cash saving for a down payment and missing these market returns. Brainwashed after seeing homes be the primary wealth generation tool for their parents.

[Dark Cauldron @darkcauldron]

@unusual_whales She’s really milking the “broke bartender who stumbled into politics” persona. Hopefully not too many folks fall for this.

[Dark Cauldron @darkcauldron]

@EllliotttB Yes and there seems to be a 2:1 ratio of India based companies to American ones following this playbook. The OB emails have been a constant slop stream.

[Dark Cauldron @darkcauldron]

O’Hare needs a full demolition and rebuild. Was getting major pre-renovation LGA terminals B & C vibes when traveling through today.

[Dark Cauldron @darkcauldron]

@sample @NostalgiaFolder The question asked what gradually disappeared in the last 10 yrs. Yes, these things were largely on the way out in ‘16. They’ve since disappeared.
