Birds are used to symbolise freedom...release
There's sth instinctly different when you catch or hold a bird, as opposed to terrestrial animals, you're holding the skies.
Lazima we unshackle ourselves from ukoloni, it's so bad that its logic has self-imprinted in the masses' DNA.
The colonial-industrial psyop machine has perfected the art of scripting Kenya’s politics: handpicking both the “ruling” candidate and the “opposition” to stage a theatrical cockfight, complete with fiery rhetoric about “change,” all while delivering the illusion of choice to a gullible populace.
In reality, it’s business as usual for the entrenched cartels - globalists, importers, independent power producers, land-excision grabbers like Marriot/Ritz Carlton, arms dealers, gold smugglers and tenderpreneurs.
The parallels are glaring and deliberate.
Mwai Kibaki was groomed for decades: elevated to Daniel arap Moi’s Finance Minister and Vice President in 1978, clinging to power for a full decade until their orchestrated “fallout” in 1988.
Even then, he retained a cushy cabinet post in Health - coincidentally when medical supplies began vanishing from public hospitals.
He eventually “resigned” to form the Democratic Party, Moi’s brilliant ploy to splinter the opposition and steal another decade of democracy.
Kibaki’s only job? Stay alive long enough for the establishment’s waitlist to clear.
Fast-forward to today, and the exact script is replaying with eerie precision.
Rigathi Gachagua’s “impeachment” was a calculated spectacle - built on allegations that have mysteriously never materialized in any courtroom.
Armed with state-controlled propaganda via mainstream media and a compliant blogosphere, he hijacked the genuine, broad-based movement for systemic overhaul (Ruto Must Go) and repackaged it as his petty, vengeance-fueled sideshow dubbed “WanTam.”
Every charlatan in the so-called United Opposition including @rigathi@skmusyoka@HonJBMuturi@MarthaKarua@EugeneLWamalwa@DrMukhisaKituyi@RealMatiangi has, at one point or another, warmed seats in government - recycled insiders playing the role of “dissenters.”
They’re all in the regime’s good graces: no assassinations like Cyrus Jirongo’s, no midnight DCI raids like Francis Gaitho’s, no real repression. They freely hold rallies, dominate media slots, and posture as revolutionaries - because they’re pre-approved controlled opposition by the colonial @UKinKenya establishment.
This is classic colonial strategy: restrict the political arena to vetted, establishment-friendly players who are subtly empowered to self-promote, while authentic threats to the system are ruthlessly neutralized.
Kenyans, wake up - the cockfight is rigged, the referees are bought, and real change will never come from within this manufactured circus.
Only a village-raised, slow-witted clown from some backwater like Kolenyo would be speaking on their phone while inside a car/matatu with the windows open.

Rebel is more than a political memoir—it is a deeply personal reflection on love, loss, and resilience. Anne writes candidly about heartbreak, betrayal, and the loneliness of leadership. She also writes with humor about her missteps, and tenderness about her daughters who gave her reason to keep fighting. Her storytelling is sharp and self-aware, balancing activism with introspection, and conviction with compassion.
Returning to Uganda years later, Anne found a country still marked by corruption and repression—but she also found her voice stronger than ever. She ran for parliament and continued to believe that rebellion is not a phase but a way of living with integrity.
Written with clarity and warmth, Rebel will resonate with readers of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Wangari Maathai, and Malala Yousafzai—stories of women who turn defiance into hope.
Ultimately, Rebel is Anne Mugisha’s love letter to Uganda and to everyone who has dared to speak truth to power. It reminds us that rebellion, at its heart, is not about anger—it is about love: love of justice, of freedom, and of the courage to tell one’s own story.

At this point how does safaricom assure their clients' safety. Just the other day someone was in court saying safaricom dished out personal data without a court's permit.
I think people should embrace other service providers. It's not fair when money can't even be safe within 24hrs of the line loss
A Kenyan lady was left in shock after losing money from her M-Pesa and M-Shwari accounts following the loss of her phone. She is now calling out Safaricom, saying she cannot understand how someone was able to withdraw her money without the M-Pesa PIN.
