@vaxryy I can't replace everything, but I'm so happy I started self hosting in 2021. Guess soon it'll be time to buy a cheap VPS somewhere and install Wireguard or Headscale
@schoolruler@gnukeith The official Epic Games Launcher works, but many people use Heroic Games instead, because the launcher is better and supports Epic, GOG, Amazon and Zoom
@CachyOS I love the touchscreen at work on a HP laptop and I also think it's really useful, but the Framework is still missing one thing, I'd much prefer a 360Β° hinge for using a touchscreen
@FrameworkPuter It would be a waste of money to replace my 2 year old Framework with that or even the case to replace the battery, however will it be possible to replace the trackpad with the 13 Pro trackpad even without replacing the input cover?
@bee_fumo Works well for me, other than Wayland-native being broken rn, which I use because xWayland is (and probably always will be) weird with scaling and sometimes has problems capturing my mouse
@Croxovergoddess It's a shame if it really won't make it to the movie theater, but I hope it gets a physical release. That would be a day one buy. On the other hand paying for the horrendous quality of streaming services is definitely not my go to
@Vito149386@Pirat_Nation Also the "going to cripple devs". I guess e.g. all of CS, all of Unreal Tournment, (iirc) WoW for some time, Knockout City, Splitgate 2, (by the community) NFS: World are all "crippled devs"
@amiyaaranha Can't speak for OP, but I'd say it's less about being an ODE at all, but it would be nice if more ODEs would function like the FlippyDrive to not replace the drive, but keep both functioning, the ODE, as well as the drive
@WeebyRevy I really hope that something like the Flippy Drive happens for more consoles. I know there is something similar for the PS1, but iirc the compatibility is worse and development was never good of the PSIO
@astrogo360 Professor Layton wasn't Nintendo exclusive for a long time already. Most games released for Android and iOS years ago even with one game (Laytons Brothers Mystery Room) not even releasing for a Nintendo console at all
@ChristianLempa Nginx Proxy Manager at the moment because of ease of use, but any day nowβ’ (for a year by now) I wanted to try out Treafik for the docker label routing and Caddy for it's simplicity on my test bench and decide how I rebuild my server with the one I decide for
@m1ndspray@xdadevelopers Again, the only PC that compares in price and ease of use is the Steam Deck. The people who buy consoles only simply don't want an OS like Windows or for that matter a Linux distro. All they want is to connect the device to a TV and start a game without first downloading Steam
@m1ndspray@xdadevelopers But that assumes everyone already has a PC, which is not the case and ignores the QoL features a console has like CEC (which is possible but requires heavy tinkering) or an intuitive interface (Steam has it as well but it requires either an expensive device or installing an OS)
@m1ndspray@xdadevelopers I don't think so. To this day I'd say the only feasible console like PC that could make console players PC players is the Steam Deck and my wild guess is that the Steam Machine won't change that because it's too expensive
@josethevrtech Valve finally needs to make Steam Wayland native. It's my only app that's still using xWayland and it's often buggy when it comes to scaling
