@8BitRay well. given the nature of episode 9, it does make some sense. though that was a broad example. Obsession and Backrooms have more horror to them
@ILLYSILLY_@noobde Its a lot easier to jump from Shaolin into a new sequel than MK9. all that needs is to be ported to PS5/6 and modern steam and it's pretty much set.
@james_xond We had better TV back then, Classic CN, Nick, G4 was pretty good back then, all sorts of re-run sitcoms would be a regular for me personally, and the occasional run on whatever console we had or PC went a long way too.
@OofMachine24@GeekVibesNation its a pretty mortal kombat type film. you want gore? it's there? you want fights? it's there, you want a pretty safe but good selection of characters? all there. it does feel more like a MK2021 Part 2, than a proper sequel. but its not awful.
@TheReal_JAnchor@julinhorockman it did feel like more of a part 2 than a proper sequel, kinda surprised they opted to kill off cole young. though i doubt we've seen the last of shao.
@Wyd_eshuu pretty much. theres not much that can be done once you hit that threshold. all you can do is face release, or whatever happens after, who knows, this whole thing could just be one long simulation too. imagine waking up and being asked "would you like to go again?"
