@wholyv Figure out something that seems like magic to nontech people like md files, make it easy to use, profit. It’s super easy to make a good markdown editor (maybe 1 person 1 week). They were just the first to market it well. (Oh it’s like a graph guys) (a note graph? Take my money!)

@AaronErickson It shifts all of the work to the candidate. And after all that they usually still have to go through several interviews, some of which will require whiteboarding anyway. It’s not “more convenient”, it’s a total lack of respect for the candidate and simply shouldn’t be done.

@AaronErickson BS. Almost every take home test is “write a whole app” and take anywhere from a few hours to a few days to complete. They exploit the fact that good candidates will want to stand out and so they’ll waste days on something that the interviewer will spend 5 minutes looking at.

@Jonathan_Blow Kind of cocky to assume no other game does this as well as yours. A ton of games have variants of state tracking or diff saving for undo/redo, rewind, play of the game, etc. Still, I appreciate that you’ve shared your unique experience.
