@dominos, surely you can find a library to use that will handle non-alphabetic characters correctly. If not, at least provide a way to remedy the situation manually. /10
At the end of this, the experience has been aggravating enough that I'm taking my business elsewhere. I realize that my every 2-3 week family order and occasional large order for my boys' extracurriculars doesn't mean that much to the bottom line. /9
When that doesn't work, I open help tickets. Yes plural, because I've yet to get a resolution.
Ironically, the ticketing system *can* send email to the '+' address, so, this means that *some*, but not all, of their internal systems handle the '+' correctly. /6
Somewhere in the middle of 2021, I stop getting order notifications.
When I realized this, I was genuinely puzzled since nothing had changed on my side. /3
Backstory: A while back, I changed my email to use a '+' to help me filter emails from dominos. ([email protected])
After approving the change with a link sent to the previous address, everything worked fine, including order notices. For a while.

Hey @dominos pizza! It's pretty surprising and honestly a little sad that a large company like yours cannot handle special characters in emails properly. /1
As a father with multiple teenagers approaching the driving age and with aging parents who won't be able to drive themselves safely soon, this is personal for me. I want to make our roads safer. Here at @Cruise , that is literally part of our mission.
We ran this full-page ad in @nytimes and several local papers today.
Human drivers aren't good enough. America can do better, and it is time we fully embrace AVs.

These kinds of challenges are what continue to make my job @Cruise exciting and fulfilling. In this case, our AV saved not only the person from their own poor choice, but also their dog. For other videos, check out #LifeAtCruise. Wanna help us out? #WeAreHiring
This driverless @cruise AV (named Chorizo) was tracking both the person and their dog and managed to swerve to avoid a collision.
Risking your life to prank an AV is stupid, but it's your call. Just leave your dog out of it.
For the curious about what life is like @Cruise or what it's like to take a self-driving taxi ride around SF, check out the videos tagged with #LifeAtCruise. Here's the latest in a series of employee profiles. There really are some cool people working here.
Exciting times here @Cruise! We've already proven we can take people around San Francisco safely for free and soon, we'll be be able to charge customers for our service! (see link for CPUC proposal) https://t.co/7RLG6GCOV2
I felt the need to brag about my new workplace, @Cruise. I joined in Dec and suddenly it's one of the best places to work in the bay area! I'm sure I can't take all the credit though. 🤣. If you're interested, #wearehiring!!
