“I want to build an audience but I don’t have the time” is a common excuse for not being consistent on 𝕏.
But it's a total lie.
We can all try to spare 30 minutes a day:
→ 15 min to write 1-2 posts
→ 15 min to engage with 5-10 accounts
Stop looking at the monthly income. Look at:
How much control you have over your schedule
Money aside, how much Enjoyment you get from doing the work
How much freedom you have
How much dread you feel on a Monday morning
How excited you are when you wake up
Wherever consciousness goes, matter grows.
Attention is your superpower.
Key to changing your life is changing what you point your attention towards. Sounds simple, but it's true.
Point it towards what you want
Stop focusing on what you don't want
And watch what happens.
Read books to stimulate the mind. Train hard to prime the body. Eat well to nourish yourself. Prioritise rest to properly regenerate. Laugh with friends and family to feed the soul.
The older I get, the more I realize that success at most things isn't about finding the one trick or secret nobody knows about.
It's consistently doing the boring, mundane things everyone knows about but is too unfocused/undisciplined to do.
Get good at boring.
Best way to get rich quick is to focus on getting rich slow (building the right skills, studying and crafting high quality offers, getting seasoned in the trenches). Most people don't want to get rich slow, so they never give themselves the chance to get rich quick (3-10 years).
