i do find it really funny that the duffers managed to make a season that was low-key better than season 1, and then right after, produced the atrocity that was stranger things 5
the acting in season 1 is unbelievably exceptional compared to the final seasons these little physical cues and gestures instead of literally telling us everything that’s happening reads so much more genuine and adds so much more to the characters and their dynamics with others
On a side note I hate how the narrative tried to frame this as “ohhh it’s cause Jonathan was so crazy with his love for Nancy 😍” dude Steve was telling him his brother deserved to die????
It’s a reminder of how fragile the human body is. We’re used to media characters getting up from falls that in reality are likely to be fatal. Andor does blunt force trauma really, really well.
Attempting a rewatch of s1 but I keep getting mad because every scene with Winona and Charlie is genuinely lightning in a bottle like the two most interesting characters AND two of the best actors on the cast just to completely sideline them by the end the duffers will pay
“This isnt America’s values” and its a man singing about being united and god bless America…what are America’s values then? Raping children? Killing civilians? Oppressing the immigrants who helped build this country?
I won’t shut up about this, pancreatic cancer kills a person in 4 months btw, it’s resistant to radiotherapy, and fucks two essential parts of the metabolism. this could change the world
If someone had shown me this scene without me having seen any season other than the fifth and told me it’s from the same show I wouldn't have believed you
