Two of the students involved in the incident where they assaulted Mr. Michael Quayson, a teacher at Kade Senior High Technical School in the Eastern Region, have publicly apologized after being found guilty by the court.

The attack was in retaliation for the teacher's strict supervision during the 2025 WASSCE, which had prevented cheating. The court convicted all four students and imposed identical sentences, requiring each of them to either pay a fine of GH¢3,800 or serve a six-month prison sentence if the fine is not paid.

The students have since urged other young people to avoid engaging in such behavior, sharing their experiences during their time in custody.
