@WhizzTrades 90% change this strategy is overfitted and would not produce anywhere near this performance. Interesting to post May, but not June's performance or even show live trades taken using it.
It's easy to look at pure profitability, but I am learning that consistent profits across weeks and less volatility in win and loss swings is way better.
As a new algo bot developer I don't know when stop tinkering. Slight adjustments to multiple TPs and loss per day blocks. This version has lower win rate, but half the amount of drawdown.
automated trading is the best business idea - I have spent years watching charts for hours....a bot to trade for you? So much time saved. I feel like that is true freedom.
As of now I have about 4 coded bots that from a backtesting perspective work well. I have no idea how to prioritize them for trading....They all have similar approaches, but subtle differences
I can pass evals without issues - especially if I use an automated bot to do a full risk trade. This code works well and allows me to pass evals of 50k with about 60% of the time. The drawdown on this bot would not make it work well for PA accounts.
I am trying to automate a strategy that is compatible for funded brokers.
Trailing drawdown is a killer considering its more than just the "drawdown" of a strategy. You have to be aware of hidden drawdown - or the drawdown from a trade that was in profit before hitting stoploss
