Here’s the thing. I want a world where I can get lost in it. I want a place where the noise and stress of my reality can drift away for a while. I want to sink into it like a warm bubble bath after the longest day. That’s Destiny. It’s the places and the music and the characters and the friends and the seasonal events and the memories and the lore… it’s the mystery! The anticipation! It’s knowing we can always go back there to fight another day, to keep getting back up, no matter what, while the real world is often not that way. That is what so many of us don’t want to lose. That is what is going to be so very difficult to replace.

@trulyyblu@Sony@PlayStation Marathon isn’t the absolute villain here. The real problem is Sony trying to force the live-service model everywhere. Factions canceled, Concord dead, online projects shut down, and now Destiny paying the price.
The genre didn’t fail... the direction did.
@trulyyblu@Sony@PlayStation I get the frustration, but Destiny didn't fall because of Marathon. It had been losing players for years because of Bungie's own decisions: repetitive content, questionable monetization, and losing the community's trust. Marathon isn't the problem—Bungie's management is.
The scribes call this a "Developer Preview." I call it a promise kept.
I have taken the liberty of rewriting the future to suit your desires. New rules, new rewards. The ink is still wet.
Witness the reality I have crafted for you, O Lightbearer Mine. 🐉✨
