Damage, or simply change? We tend to negatively frame what appears as disorder in nature. Words like ‘devastation’ become the accepted language. Ecologically speaking however, these trees are just as productive in the river as they are on land. It’s all a matter of perspective.

Very busy Monday 55+ gardening session with @froglifers
Lots of hard working clearing beds by #ClaphanCommon’s depot, the back to the garden for tea and cake. And some freshly cooked padron peppers that were hot, hot 🥵
We’ll be running a children’s Get Growing gardening session in the morning.
There are lot of lovely tomatoes, as well as spinach and potatoes to harvest.
Drop in and join us at 10am.
Is the end of summer upon us already?!
On the 16th September we’ll be holding our annual feast to celebrate 10 years of Bandstand Beds with activities for all ages, delicious food, and a range of community groups we collaborate with.
We’d love to see you there! 🌿
Back in April BBA volunteers helped clear and create new growing space @weareaceofclubs, adding some raised beds.
Four months on the garden is looking amazing. And the veg is being used for their lunchtime meals.
