People in Westmoreland and St. Elizabeth are still living under tarpaulin and sleeping on rock stone 🪨, 7 months after Hurricane Melissa. Yet this wicked and uncaring government is accepting 10,000 violent sex offenders into the island while its own people are suffering.
Nationwide News understands that embattled Science and Technology Minister, Dr. Andrew Wheatley has moved to assemble a high-powered legal team as he seeks to clear his name of allegations that his assets are disproportionate to his earnings.
Dr. Wheatley has retained the services of three of the country’s leading attorneys as he responds to a recommendation from the Integrity Commission that four charges be laid against him.

The Diaspora Is Our Lifeline
"Jamaicans abroad are not just our diaspora. They are our lifeline." 🇯🇲
At the 11th Biennial Diaspora Conference in Montego Bay, I celebrated the bond that connects us, no matter the zip code.
The diaspora sends home Jamaica’s largest source of foreign exchange. You’re the social safety net that keeps families afloat. That level of dedication deserves real partnership.
That’s why i reiterate my call for seats for Jamaicans abroad on the 100+ public boards that shape our national decisions. Your voice should be at the table, not just sending remittances from it.
I also raised the issue of those still hurting after Hurricane Melissa. Months later, families in Westmoreland, St. Elizabeth & Hanover are still under tarpaulins. Children are missing school. Recovery can’t wait.
The diaspora has always shown up for home. Jamaica must show up for you.
One people. One Jamaica. Wherever we are.

Wheatley was removed from the Cabinet after Petrojam scandal. After Holness was re-elected for a 3rd term, he reappointed him. You gave Holness the green light that corruption is no longer an indicator of good governance. So no one should complain. Y'all love corruption
The Integrity Commission, IC, has ruled that Member of Parliament for South Central St. Catherine, Dr. Andrew Wheatley, be charged for illicit enrichment.
This follows an investigation into Dr. Wheatley's earnings, acquisition of assets and sale of assets over the period December 31, 2013 to December 31, 2022.

Why don't the government stop taking NHT money to do everything else but building houses??? If the NHT actually build houses then there won't be any need for the government to be begging the private sector.
Prime Minister Dr Andrew Holness is calling on the private sector to build more affordable houses that are within the reach of most Jamaicans.

The Director of Public Prosecutions has ruled that police constable Andrew Wilson should be charged with murder in connection with the killing of 45-year-old Latoya 'Buju' Bulgin in Granville, St James last month. The incident sparked public outrage and fiery demonstrations.
This is the woman who was killed by the police. Look at the joy she expressed meeting PM Holness. Tragically, her life was cut short. No citizen should lose their life like this. As a country, we must ensure that incidents like this never happen again.
Jamaican lottery scammer Roshard Carty urged a 73-year-old American woman to sell her house and send him the proceeds.
