Do Not Start Eating Before Elders

Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman (radiyallahu anhu) said: “When we would be present with the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) at a meal, we would not place our hands in the food until the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) began and placed his hand.” (Muslim)

Ibn Muflih said: “The eldest and the most knowledgeable are given precedence in beginning to eat and drink.”

وصايا مهمة وقت الفتن
(نقاط مهمة للأئمة والخطباء لتذكير المصلين)
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
أولا: تذكير الناس بأن العباد مبتلون في هذه الدنيا بشتى أنواع البلاء فعلى العبد الصبر والاحتساب وتذكير إخوانه بفضل الصبر، (إِنَّمَا يُوَفَّى الصَّابِرُونَ أَجْرَهُمْ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ) وقال تعالى: (وَبَشِّرِ الصَّابِرِينَ الَّذِينَ إِذَا أَصَابَتْهُم مُّصِيبَةٌ قَالُوا إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ أُولَٰئِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ صَلَوَاتٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَرَحْمَةٌ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُهْتَدُونَ)
ثانيا: على العبد أن يواجه المصائب والأزمات بقوة قلب وشجاعة وتعلق بالله تعالى وتوكل عليه، فلن يصيب العبد إلا ما كتب الله له، ﴿مَا أَصَابَ مِن مُّصِيبَةٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ ۗ وَمَن يُؤْمِن بِاللَّهِ يَهْدِ قَلْبَهُ﴾. وقال تعالى: ﴿قُل لَّن يُصِيبَنَا إِلَّا مَا كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَنَا ۚ هُوَ مَوْلَانَا ۚ وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ﴾ وعَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « الْمُؤْمِنُ الْقَوِىُّ خَيْرٌ وَأَحَبُّ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِ الضَّعِيفِ وَفِى كُلٍّ خَيْرٌ احْرِصْ عَلَى مَا يَنْفَعُكَ وَاسْتَعِنْ بِاللَّهِ وَلاَ تَعْجِزْ وَإِنْ أَصَابَكَ شَىْءٌ فَلاَ تَقُلْ لَوْ أَنِّى فَعَلْتُ كَانَ كَذَا وَكَذَا. وَلَكِنْ قُلْ قَدَرُ اللَّهِ وَمَا شَاءَ فَعَلَ فَإِنَّ لَوْ تَفْتَحُ عَمَلَ الشَّيْطَانِ ». رواه مسلم.
ثالثاً: ما أعظم ما يقوي العبد في الأزمات والمصائب الإكثار من العبادة وخصوصا الصلاة والصبر، ﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَعِينُوا بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلَاةِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ﴾ وقال تعالى: ﴿وَاسْتَعِينُوا بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلَاةِ وَإِنَّهَا لَكَبِيرَةٌ إِلَّا عَلَى الْخَاشِعِينَ﴾ ، وعن حذيفة رضي الله عنه قال: (كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا حزبه أمر صلى). رواه أبو داود.
رابعا: اﻹكثار من الدعاء والإلتجاء إلى الله تعالى لينصر العباد ويغيث الجيش والبلاد ويكسر شوكة الأعداء ويثبت الأقدام والقلوب. ﴿إِذْ تَسْتَغِيثُونَ رَبَّكُمْ فَاسْتَجَابَ لَكُمْ﴾ وقال صلى الله عليه وسلم: « أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ، لاَ تَتَمَنَّوْا لِقَاءَ الْعَدُوِّ ، وَسَلُوا اللَّهَ الْعَافِيَةَ ، فَإِذَا لَقِيتُمُوهُمْ فَاصْبِرُوا ، وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ الْجَنَّةَ تَحْتَ ظِلاَلِ السُّيُوفِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ مُنْزِلَ الْكِتَابِ وَمُجْرِىَ السَّحَابِ وَهَازِمَ الأَحْزَابِ ، اهْزِمْهُمْ وَانْصُرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ » رواه البخاري، وعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رضي الله عنهما: ( حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ ) قَالَهَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ حِينَ أُلْقِىَ فِى النَّارِ ، وَقَالَهَا مُحَمَّدٌ - صلى الله عليه وسلم - حِينَ قَالُوا ( إِنَّ النَّاسَ قَدْ جَمَعُوا لَكُمْ فَاخْشَوْهُمْ فَزَادَهُمْ إِيمَانًا وَقَالُوا حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ ) رواه البخاري.
خامسا: إحسان الظن بالله تعالى فهو من أعظم أسباب طمأنينة القلب وراحته، ويقوّي اليقين، ويشرح الصدر عند الشدائد. ﴿وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُ﴾، عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِىُّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم - « يَقُولُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى أَنَا عِنْدَ ظَنِّ عَبْدِى بِى ، وَأَنَا مَعَهُ إِذَا ذَكَرَنِى ، فَإِنْ ذَكَرَنِى فِى نَفْسِهِ ذَكَرْتُهُ فِى نَفْسِى ، وَإِنْ ذَكَرَنِى فِى مَلأٍ ذَكَرْتُهُ فِى مَلأٍ خَيْرٍ مِنْهُمْ ، وَإِنْ تَقَرَّبَ إِلَىَّ بِشِبْرٍ تَقَرَّبْتُ إِلَيْهِ ذِرَاعًا ، وَإِنْ تَقَرَّبَ إِلَىَّ ذِرَاعًا تَقَرَّبْتُ إِلَيْهِ بَاعًا ، وَإِنْ أَتَانِى يَمْشِى أَتَيْتُهُ هَرْوَلَةً » متفق عليه.
سادسا: الحرص على عدم نشر الشائعات أو الأخبار الزائفة فقد تكون سببا في إضعاف النفوس وتهبيط الهمم فلنكن دعاة خير لا أبواق أخبار. قال تعالى: ﴿وَإِذَا جَاءَهُمْ أَمْرٌ مِّنَ الْأَمْنِ أَوِ الْخَوْفِ أَذَاعُوا بِهِ ۖ وَلَوْ رَدُّوهُ إِلَى الرَّسُولِ وَإِلَى أُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنْهُمْ لَعَلِمَهُ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَنبِطُونَهُ مِنْهُمْ﴾

Show your children what a loving, dignified marriage looks like. Do not coast through marriage or parenthood on autopilot. Do not take blessings for granted, for blessings are withdrawn when entitlement replaces gratitude.

To be genuine as a spouse and a parent requires intention, presence, and self-awareness. It means caring about the small things. It means paying attention to details that others overlook. What you are building is precious—and it deserves the effort.

Build a legacy so honorable that your great-grandchildren will speak of your marital relationship with affection and pride.

Know that you are a pioneering generation, navigating a vast wilderness of opportunity and trial. You are not wandering aimlessly—you are charting paths where none existed before. Guide your flock with vigilance and mercy—away from valleys where predators lurk and danger lies concealed, and toward high ground where faith, dignity, and safety are preserved.

May Allah protect our Muslim households, make them sanctuaries of warmth and joy, shield them from fitnah and calamity, and reunite us with our loved ones in everlasting gardens.

إنه ولي ذلك والقادر عليه، إنه على كل شيء قدير وبالإجابة جدير
