Here’s an unpopular opinion—
I don’t think this is cute.
I was this kid. A 7 year old should not feel responsible for their parent’s interactions with other adults. A 7 year old should not feel the need to protect you or your feelings from other adults. This puts a tremendous burden on children for things they can’t possibly control. This is self serving parenting and it’s unfair to kids.
