@krishcoughran Either that or he’s so neurotic that he can’t handle being the last place team at the end of the season because he’d be the laughingstock of the league. Oops, too late…
@douglaslwhite@idkk408@DrLukeWood I'm guessing there has been a considerable uptick in booster donation commitments they've procured in advance of this deal.
@xofybbob@krishcoughran Only potential light at the end of the tunnel is that the fans are starting to wizen up and stay away from the games (at least the last few). Hit his bottom line and he may finally get the hell out of the way.
@xofybbob@krishcoughran Yeah, I think Vivek used up all the goodwill from keeping the team here a long time ago when it became obvious he only kept them here to prey on Sac's rabid fanbase so he can leach profit for over a decade while not building a winner in any way whatsoever.
@CameronDemetre@MattGeorgeSAC My feeling is he wants big name guards he can fanboy around. The Kings don't need to win (much) to make him happy, they just need to turn him a profit while he plays with his toys in the sandbox.
@CameronDemetre@MattGeorgeSAC Agree, if thinking like a fan. But the alternate theory is this team is doing exactly what its owner wants it to do: play big name fading talent to get casual fans into the arena and line his wallet while teasing a play-in run but never having to pay max salaries for true talent.
@douglaslwhite@BrendenNunesNBA It's not up to him. He's being directed from on high to play the name players so they get the casuals' butts in seats and make Vivek his profit. The price DC pays making a deal with the devil to be an NBA coach...
@douglaslwhite@CarmichaelDave Why do you think they hired Mike Woodson? Fill the bench and front office with ex-Kings to fire because no one can work magic with the fantasy league roster Vivek compiled. Wash and repeat.
