@claire_adams694@Mr_Andrew_Fox@Conservatives@KemiBadenoch It’s as hard as you want it to be with committees, casework and community events. You just do what you can, an hour or 2 each day is enough (max). There is a great team and we focus on local stuff. Go for it.
@claire_adams694@Mr_Andrew_Fox@Conservatives@KemiBadenoch Yes I am an elected councillor. Candidates remain ultimately responsible for their campaign and at the moment Rob’s campaign is not going well - 3 weeks is a long time though.
@claire_adams694@Mr_Andrew_Fox@Conservatives@KemiBadenoch Absolutely not out of Rob’s hands. He is the candidate and totally has the power to say he’s not happy. If he is ignored he can go public distancing himself with anything he is uncomfortable with.
@patrickkmaguire If you and @Gabriel_Pogrund are considering the next book title then 1850 would suggest that ‘F Off’ touted recently would be rather apt!
@Thighboots2 Our water meter is ‘smart’ - sends daily readings via mobile network. Download the Anglian Water app and you can see your usage and other details.
@CamillaTominey Highly recommend @BrianWoodMC book referenced in the article. Double crossed indeed.

@StefanReynolds@iainmartin1 Recollections may vary. Jim Murphy and Bob Ainsworth were particularly outspoken in opposing it. They said it was a politically driven cuts exercise dressed up as a review. You said hindsight is wonderful, I would point out that plenty of people at the time said it was folly.
@StefanReynolds@iainmartin1 Some budgets (health, education, aid) were protected, the cuts could have been more evenly distributed.
Lots of opposition at the time both from Jim Murphy as Shadow Defence, Def Select Ctte and Tory backbenchers.
It was awful - I was serving at the time and we could all see it.
@LeoMontague91@lewis_goodall My experience knocking doors is different. People are fed up with the incompetence, u-turns, tax rises, failure to address the cost of living, lack of plan - as Nandy said people want him to succeed but it’s the lack of hope.

@Rotary_Pilot As a West Ham fan don’t worry, Spurs are going to make the season for both of us and continue their dire form. We’re fighting it out for 16th!
