@ATT i've been on your support line for 12 hours over the last 3 days trying to get my internet working. After an hour i've asked for the manager or next level of support. at that point the person disconnects and i have to start over. is this policy? how do i get help?

@GossiTheDog another way apple sells gear... provide performance per watt thats off the scale.. that amd and intel cant come close to. specifically video encoding and machine learning.

@flysi @photojoseph Some have mentioned @drobo, i'm a fan of their products but they have had no inventory for months becuase of covid and the chip shortage. Their Drobo 5D3 is a really nice & low maintenance What makes drobo unique is their ability to expand over time.

@flysi @photojoseph @drobo It might just take you changing your workflow. instead of having everything in one giant catalog .. to going to a project based approach. a lightroom catalog for each shoot. or a new catalog for each year. This way you can break these up to fitting on drives.

@flysi @photojoseph @drobo Synology and QNAP has some really nice products, but if you want to actually edit and work of them, it will take their highend products that are 10gb/network or thunderbolt. The costs add up fast.

@IzzyPabon @ScottKelby @drobo @IzzyPabon different tools for different jobs. As far as i know synology doesnt make direct attached storage, only NAS. NAS is great for backup. but having a large RAID array directly attached allows you to work off of it. Looks like @ScottKelby is running the new Drobo 8D.
