Heart valve surgery in the US? That’ll slap you with a bill around $180,000. In China? The whole damn thing—top-tier hospital, complex procedure, everything—comes in under 20 grand.
And the craziest part? Over there they don’t make you sit on a damn waiting list slowly dying
Mrs. Jackson told me that in the U.S., her husband’s surgery would waiting two years. On top of that, the insurance company wouldn’t pay, pushed her family into bankruptcy. In China, the surgery was scheduled within a week, cost half as much, and it was a huge success.
Yesterday I heard the most heartbreaking story from a friend, his coworker was diagnosed with a stomach tumor two years ago. The private insurance company refused to pay, and just a few days ago, ICE showed up, detained him, and said he was going to be deported.
@AntiColonialX@ShangguanJiewen really hard, unless you’ve made major contributions. Only a few hundred foreigners have managed to succeed over the past several decades.
@thehealthb0t Unlike the U.S. healthcare system, healthcare in China is treated as a public benefit. Hospitals are nonprofit, so the price gap between the two is often more than double. Only a society that truly looks out for its people really deserves to talk about human rights.

If it’s a serious illness, coming to China for treatment can be extremely cost-effective. Even after factoring in airfare and hospital stays, it’s still at least half the price of the U.S. If you want, reach out to me. We’ll also be rolling out major illness insurance soon.
This is what a weekend looks like at a hospital in China. All of these patients will get results from their treatment today. Chinese hospitals are incredibly efficient. no wonder so many Americans are going to China for treatment.
Severe inner ear infection in China, right now.
Two specialist visits at two hospitals, three days of IVs, and several boxes of medicine was 900 RMB ($125.18), refunded in total by my People's Insurance card.
Deductable: Zero.
Total actual amount paid: Zero.

CPC now hopes more foreigners to come to China, and I think China can consider using medical services as a breakthrough point to enhance its service industy.
Medical services in China are, in my personal opinion, the most cost-effective medical service in this world. The level of doctors is quite high, because there are so many patients in China and doctors have accumulated enough experience; The price is cheap, about 1/5 or even less than that of Western society; The equipments are advanced, and there are many CT or MRI in very hospital, no need to wait for weeks or months.
I believe that for the middle class in most countries, China's medical services are cost-effective. Just like some people who go to South Korea for plastic surgery, some foreigners who find it difficult to afford high medical expenses but still hope to receive good medical services can come to China for treatment.
