A thread for those who think we're going to be importing lots of hydrogen over vast distances.
1. Shipping liquid hydrogen is not going to be a thing. To understand why, you need to understand that hydrogen is basically liquid, -253C escapey, explodey expanded polystyrene.
Painting Alberta's sovereignty aspirations as a costly pipe dream with sky-high startup fees, one might politely wonder if those unsubstantiated $400 billion figures conveniently overlook the billions we've dutifully shipped to Ottawa over decades—funds that could fund our own pensions, trade deals, and prosperity without the federal strings attached.
If staying in this "partnership" is such a bargain, why does Alberta keep footing the bill for everyone else's experiments?
Perhaps true uncertainty lies not in independence, but in betting our future on a Confederation that treats us as a colony.
@RicAcuna Because Canadian social services are for Canadian citizens. If a Canadian is in a foreign country what social services are they eligible for? In much of the world, none.
This is an email I was expecting. ⬇️
Took less than 24 hours.
The Canadian Dairy Commission fully controlled by Dairy Farmers, a Crown corporation—not Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada—is demanding a correction based on a document in which the section detailing government funding and support was completely redacted. The redactions suggest that records related to government support do exist, but they have not been disclosed.
I have no intention of issuing a correction until I receive an unredacted version of the relevant information. Transparency should come before demands for retractions.
@CanadaWillPrj You need to expand your circle of friends, buddy, on the flipside everybody I know is in support of separation as we believe that there’s a better future to be had for our children and grandchildren
Smith yesterday "So do you hope that Quebec will approve a new gas pipeline from Alberta like the one that is proposed by Marinvest?"
"if there was a possibility for us to restart that conversation, I'd be open to it."
"As you may know, Alberta Oil already comes to Quebec by way of line nine."
"And then it gets put into a tanker and comes up to Quebec. It's part of the reason why I'm going to be able to fly home today, because aviation fuel from Alberta processed here is going to fill the plane that gets me back to my province." @ABDanielleSmith
@ctvedmonton How about Albertans demand an audit of all First Nations chiefs and leadership and a hell of a lot lore transparency on where our billions of dollars we give you actually goes
@kathleen_petty Canada doesnt even revoke the passports/ citizenship of convicted terrorists. Carney has 3 passports are barely lived in Canada in the last 15 years.
The fact that people think that Ottawa would revoke the citizenship of Albertans just demonstrates how petty our country is.
Obviously Canada could choose to disallow it, however Canada currently allows dual citizenship with every country on Earth. Not only that, they just passed a bill guaranteeing citizenship to grandkids of Canadians that haven’t lived in Canada for 2 generations.
And not only that, Canada protects citizenship of terrorists.
But yeah, they could deny it to Canadians who were born in Ontario, moved to AB for work and even voted against independenc . Unlikely
You need new experts.
