Loving GPT 5.6 Sol. At this price point. Best alternative to Opus 4.8 and seems smarter in testing.
Haven’t had to use anything for than high reasoning but already seeing bug improvement in code quality compared to 5.5.
The world spent 30 years calling Japan 'behind.'
Still uses cash.
Still uses fax.
Still has tiny shops run by one old couple.
Then the world got 'ahead' —
and ended up lonely, rushed,
and scrolling at 2 AM.
Now the same people are flying to Japan
just to feel something they can't name.
A meal made by hand.
A street that's quiet.
A stranger who's kind for no reason.
Turns out Japan wasn't behind.
It just refused to trade away
the things that actually make a life.
THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU is a shockingly inept film. The story is episodic meaninglessness which neither illuminates anything new about the characters or the universe itself. It’s clearly just a repurpose of season four scripts into a feature film. So disappointing.
Dear OpenAI, I am hitting the 5h session limit within 10 minutes on my Codex Plus plan. You have made it completely unusable overnight. Please fix it. Thanks.
Bollywood and Indian media both treat the audience as low-IQ fools who can be fed whatever and made money of. Once the common man understands this bigoted culture, they will start supporting higher quality films and journalism, rejecting the mediocre and pathetic completely.
Martin Scorsese on the mistakes a filmmaker must avoid:
"There are many different kinds of mistakes that I think a director must try to avoid at all costs. The first that comes to mind is redundancy—making the point of a film over and over again, either emotionally or intellectually.
Well, emotionally, you can get away with it sometimes, because the emotion can become intense enough to become something else. But in terms of a message, whether it’s a political message or just the underlying theme of the film, I sometimes see films in which, at the end, a character will, either virtually or literally, make a speech or have a line of dialogue where he will explain that the film title means or even explain what the film was all about. And that, I feel, is the worst thing you can do. I’m not sure I’ve avoided that myself. But I’ve certainly tried."

Sinners was awesome but Ryan Coogler could’ve had anybody in that role and made an awesome movie.
Safdie literally wrote Marty Supreme for Timmy. The movie doesn’t work or even exist without him carrying it on his back.
