Any right thinking person will understand and accept that India has a real rape epidemic going on. And except on social media, nobody else seems to care, not least governments across states.
PM is coming to BLR tomorrow, and roads are already blocked throughout the city. Traffic is insane.
If you're a VIP, behave like one and land at the venue via a chopper. If you want to behave like a common man, commute like one.
Inconveniencing others is utterly stupid.
> 9 died in Jabalpur boat ride
> 10 died in Bengaluru rain
> Kids dying due to fake syrups
> 100s dying due to bridge collapses
> Stampede deaths in IPL, Kumbh
The whole population is being conditioned to become numb to deaths - every single day.
Nothing shocks anymore !
In 2014, Modi promised you 100 smart cities.
Today, 100 of the hottest cities in the world are in India.
100 of the most polluted cities in the world are in India.
This was not the case a decade ago. There were consistent efforts to fight pollution and rising temperatures.
Today, the BJP's agenda is only one thing, win elections. Not by governance, but by creating social divisions and manipulating the electoral system. That’s where their focus is, not on improving your quality of life.
Today, ask yourself honestly: has your quality of life improved?
Is the air cleaner?
Are cities more liveable?
Are summers more bearable?
Because "smart city" was never meant to change how you live. It was always a slogan.
You, your whole life, your future has always been reduced to a slogan.
And all of you who continue to support Modi and BJP must understand, you are destroying the future of your children and the future of this nation.
It's never too late.
Wake up.
We are taxed thrice on most things. And, get poor quality stuff. People don't care to question enough.
Why? because effectively 3% of our population pays direct taxes.
Everyone pays indirect taxes, but most don't understand that they are paying a tax of any kind.
Most people can't even read food labels, do you really think they understand "indirect" taxes?
No, they don't. And, hence they don't bother.
It is not as if we can't expand our tax base. But, asking people to pay direct income tax is an assault on their pockets.
It is easy to simply increase indirect taxes and introduce multiple layers of taxation, even do open corruption.
But, expanding direct tax base? NO. Not politically feasible.
What about 3% paying direct income tax. Honestly, at least 90%+ will move out, if they can. That's a fact. The 3% have been forced to sign up for a subscription that they don't want. And, can't avoid.
Fair taxation will only come when MOST people pay direct income taxes. And, that is unlikely to happen.
Therefore, we get Ladli Ladki & Berozgaar Ladka yojnas, not fair taxation.
Pune isn’t “facing traffic”—it’s losing traffic sense. And that’s far more dangerous.
We’ve gone from a city known for discipline to one where:
• Signals are “suggestions”
• Wrong-side driving is normalised
• Footpaths are parking lots
• Honking replaces patience
This isn’t infrastructure failure alone. It’s a collapse of civic behaviour.
Every rider jumping a signal saves 30 seconds…
…and costs the city hours in chaos.
Every car on the wrong side says: “My time matters more than yours.”
And slowly, that becomes the culture.
No amount of flyovers will fix this.
No smart city tech will solve this.
Because this is not a road problem.
It’s a mindset problem.
Pune doesn’t need just better roads.
It needs better discipline.
👉 Enforce rules strictly
👉 Penalise consistently
👉 Educate relentlessly
But most importantly—
👉 नागरिकों को खुद बदलना होगा
👉 नागरिकांनी स्वतः बदलायला हवे
A great city isn’t built by projects alone.
It’s built by the behaviour of its people.
Right now, Pune is at a tipping point.
We either restore order…
Or accept chaos as our identity.
#PuneTraffic #CivicSense #UrbanIndia
It pains me to say this, but when most of the world’s most polluted cities are in India, it’s clear: this isn’t a functioning democracy - just a paper one. In reality, it’s sliding toward a banana republic.
@bmwindia your showrooms should remain open till 8 pm at least. The person who wants to buy a BMW will get free from work and then go right? 7pm is too early to close for India. Ideal Time for sales is 1030 am to 830 pm at least. Consider. Rest up to you.
The only way to be happy in India is to turn a blind eye to all the misery, poverty and inequality which is all around us by trapping ourselves in cocoons of luxury
@TridentHotels very poor reservation team. 3 days to make a confirmed booking for 3 rooms at Chennai. Every time different agents on call and different agents replying to emails. Difference in call and email timings for 4 hours. Still not able to get a reservation done.
@Apple@AppleSupport in India your store in Jabalpur, India doesn’t have any iMacs in stock and they take more than one week for procuring a new one. Why do they open Apple stores if there is no stock? Why aren’t they asked to keep certain inventory? Iwould rather order on Amazon
@zomato@zomatocare if you assign two orders for two different customers from two different restaurants to one delivery partner why should one customer suffer dus to delay of the other restaurants delivery? U r charging me for delivery and asking for tips also. Is that for delay?
