@AnaKasparian Context matters. My mother hasn’t had a uterus in ~30 years. Menopausal women don’t menstruate as a rule. Trans men often can and do menstruate. These are terms used when talking about pregnancy and periods. We aren’t trying to erase you. We’re trying to not misgender them.

@JortsTheCat @Psylphen They’re as much whales as sperm whales or beluga whales. Orcas are dolphins, but dolphins are toothed whales just like porpoises, sperm whales, and beluga whales. Filter feeding whales are not toothed, but they’re all cetaceans.
