Venezuela at UN: "The main drug routes are in the Pacific—they’re in the wrong ocean. They’re not fighting trafficking. If they were serious about drug trafficking, they’d start here with pharma giants who legally pushed Oxycontin, killing 70,000 young Americans every year."
i only started thinking this when he kept harping on the illegals immigration angle for Cananda like… who tf is illegally crossing from Canada bruh 😭😭😭 it’s actually a brilliant plot
my theory is that trump is using tariffs as a subtle way to raise taxes, because actually raising taxes would be unconscionable and counter to his campaign narrative. he gets to tax the population while also claiming to stick it to other countries “who aren’t paying their share”
it’s honestly brilliant, because he gets to extract concessions, which makes them appear (to a regular person) that “hmm… maybe they really weren’t contributing”, which then makes it so easy to justify with the tariffs.
there’s a yt woman giving us a presentation on maternal reproductive justice and histories of minority reproductive oppression and she’s lowkey killing it… like i’m out here learning (and i already know a lot of what’s being discussed)… this is amazing
