More in the next tweet…
The Eighth and current Sant Satguru of the #Dayalbagh#Radhasoami faith is Revered Prof. Dr. Prem Saran Satsangi Sahab.
He is the Embodiment of the phrase we hear so often, simple living and high thinking. In the next tweet in this thread I will tell you about His journey before He was acclaimed as the Eighth Revered Leader of the #Radhasoami faith in 2003.
Revered Gurcharan Das Mehta ji Sahab was born in Punjab in 1885. He was extraordinarily intelligent from childhood and obtained high ranks in class. In the Matriculation Examination, He stood first in the district.
He passed His B.A. from Government College, Lahore securing second position in B.A. final examination. He stood 10th in the order of merit for entrance into Civil Engineering.
He passed his Engineering from Thomason College of Civil Engineering, now called Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) and was awarded medals for best Engineering Design, Surveying and Drawing.
He joined the Public Works Department of Punjab and rose to the position of Chief Engineer and Secretary to Government before retirement. Very few persons of Indian parentage could break the glass ceiling and reach these positions pre-independence.
In December 1938, Mehtaji Maharaj was acclaimed as the sixth Sant Satguru of the #Dayalbagh #Radhasoami faith.
There is so much that can be written about what He did after acclamation as Sant Satguru, but that I will leave for another day.
In summary:
Mehta ji Maharaj - IIT Roorkee, Chief Engineer & Secretary, Government of Punjab - sixth Sant Satguru (pre-Independence)
Dr. Lal Sahab - DSc University of Edinburgh, Vice Chancellor Lucknow University - seventh Sant Satguru
and I will tell you about the eighth and current Sant Satguru in the next tweet.
I have had the opportunity to be in the presence of three Sant Satgurus.
Before Revered Dr. Lal Sahab, the faith was led by Param Guru Mehta ji Maharaj, the sixth Sant Satguru of #Dayalbagh #Radhasoami faith.
Let me tell you a bit about Him, before he was acclaimed as the sixth Sant Satguru in the following tweet.
And you Bulldozed and Desecrated His Samadhi (a small token remembrance surrounding a tree) in #Dayalbagh. Inspite of the sacrilegious act and provocation, the Satsangis maintained their non-violence. A similar act against anyone else would have led to extreme violence.
As Jesus prayed when crucified, “Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do”.
I would pray further, “Forgive them Father, even if they knew what they were doing”.

Dr. M B Lal Sahab after completing His Doctorate in India was awarded a scholarship by the then Government of India in 1946 to pursue higher research at the University of Edinburgh, UK where He was awarded with a DSc degree in honor of the exemplary research that was completed in a short span of a year.
On return, He joined as a Reader in the Department of Zoology, University of Lucknow and later rose to be the Vice Chancellor of the University in 1968.
He became a Fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences at a young age of 35 and was awarded the Fellowship of the Indian National Science Academy and the Zoological Society of India.
He represented India at the Tercentenary of the Royal Society of London. He published more than 100 research papers in reputed scientific journals and guided more than 20 students for their PhDs.
In 1976, He was acclaimed as the seventh Sant Satguru of the #Radhasoami Faith, #Dayalbagh in an assembly of Satsangis.
Some individuals are posting blasphemous remarks on the Revered Sant Satgurus of the #Dayalbagh #Radhasoami faith, presumably under instructions from the land and sand mafia. This depicts the mental state of these individuals and their masters and the poison they can emit in their greed!
I have had the opportunity to be in the presence of three Sant Satgurus of the Radhasoami faith, Dayalbagh.
Let me enlighten you of the worldly achievements of our 7th Sant Satguru, Param Guru Huzur Dr. Lal Sahab.
