First day of architecture school and my first class was a design computations class where we basically learnt algorithms. Turns out I didn't make as big of a career change as I thought I did 🤷🏾♀️
ADHD accomodations I've requested in architecture school:
- captioning of video and audio materials
- permission to record classes
- modifications for deadlines
It's my 1st time requesting accomodations in school. Would love to hear what's worked for you!

I finished my 1st class of architecture school and I got to explore inclusive design ideas already. My final project for the class resulted in a plan and model for a ramped classroom experience in our existing building space.
Can't believe I learnt so much in 4 weeks!!!
Tiny snippet of my first project - and I'm already finding ways to make it all about accessibility

Non traditional networking hack -
send a thank you note to the creator of any online course you take. They'll probably really appreciate it and now you're connected to someone who is an expert at something you need to learn.
Today in class we saw something that was new to me that everyone else seemed to know. My first thought was wow I'm really getting more out of my tuition dollars than everyone else.
Growth mindset has come a long way
@xoreniii Yesss if I just look at mortgage it would cost me about the same as renting but there's so many unpredictable unexpected costs that surprise attack you.
In case you're wondering what I'm doing after @Microsoft it's as big of a change as my bright pink hair!
I'm headed to @UVA to do my masters in architecture (the buildings kind).
I loved learning how to build accessible software and now I hope to do that in the places we live!
