Y’all. “Black market” as a term is racist language. Saying it is “more understandable” perpetuates systemic racial biases and is false. How is it more understandable than “unregulated”, “unlicensed” or “previously existing”? The language of #cannabis reform & equity matters. 🤷🏾‍♀️

@mmj_ny And while I agree with you abt prices, there has been and still is more privilege in being a registered MMJ patient than not. Yet, <200k registrants among almost 20 million ppl in the state. We have an education & access gap issue desperately needing solutions.

@mmj_ny There are many health equity issues caused by 100 yrs of prohibition—economic, environmental, human and social injuries. We arent going to solve them all at once or even in 10 yrs. No one shd have to be a registered patient for access to an inherently medicinal plant.
