this exactly !! it was such a tough time for him, and he doesn’t like looking back on it for those very reasons. so it really has to mean a lot for him to get these kinds of positive reactions from fans, today, who loved the character, or hell, who’ve loved him since he WAS the character. love him so much and it always brings a smile to my face seeing him get adoration like that
maybe making it too big of a deal, but it honestly makes me so teary-eyed thinking about how healing it must be for cody, after all the sorts of memories he has tied to stardust, seeing all kinds of his fans today: newer, younger, older, etc. just show their deep love & appreciation for the character, embracing it, despite what that time period was like for him. its just so beautiful, that stardust gets so much love through the (positive) references to him on the mic, the pop whenever cody does the cartwheel, the cheers that he got, even just from showing the facepaint and gear at wrestlemania this year,, THIS SHIT MEANS A LOT TO ME, MAN!!!😭😭
The fact that Cody can interact with Stardust fans, poses, etc. now and feel okay about it and accept that it did mean a lot to people even if he was the worst time for him. That’s healing 😭😭😭
@CodyRhodes thank you for the moment, for the most special night of my life. watching you wrestle helps me in ways you'll never know, thank you thank you THABK YOU, i'll never forget this. you're the sweetest 🫶🏻⭐️💕
