@BenPopeCST I’ve had full season tickets for over 25 years. Never heard a peep about this and I am NOT happy. Completely idiotic decision in my mind. You can barely get there living in the city at a decent time for a 7:30 start. Add in winter and weeknight traffic, people won’t arrive til 9!
@NHLBlackhawks@Mario_Tirabassi@CircaSports Stupid stupid stupid time change to 7pm. You’re ignoring your season ticket holders again to chase the kiddies that go to 2-3 games a year.
It’s going to cost me an about extra 90 minutes each game just in traffic and travel. I’d have been happier if they moved them to 9pm or 1:20pm. 7 is just about the most inconvenient time possible. I’ll have to leave work early every single weekday game I go to now.
@jayzawaski I know you and everyone there are thrilled about the 7pm start times. I’m happy for you, but I am not. As a full season ticket holder since 95/96, this is the sort of thing that makes me not want to go to games.
@BenPopeCST This is so far beyond stupid and annoying. I hate everything about this. Might as well just start them at 5pm so the kids can get their homework done too afterwards. I HATEHATEHATEHATE THIS.
I love you guys and appreciate your show. This is just something that sets me off in the worst way. I have very few things that make me more insanely angry than an early weekday start. I e already called my ticket rep 5x today about this. Hell no
@jayzawaski@CHGO_Blackhawks I listened to your pod this morning from yesterday. I can’t emphasize this enough as someone who goes to almost as many games as the 2 of you each year (full ssn ticket), you cannot be more wrong about an early start time on weekdays.
I usually try to sell early starts, as it ruins my nights and enjoyment of the games. People HATE the early starts. It’s nearly enough of an issue that I would start to seriously consider giving up my seats after 30+ years if they went to a full season of 7pm starts.
@jasonfitz@NashvilleSC@MLS The best advice I can give is about who not to pick in truth. You seem like you don’t want to root for a villain, so ManCity are probably out. You want to avoid teams that face demotion regularly, so not the new 3 promotion teams. And above all else, always avoid Chelsea.
@jasonfitz@NashvilleSC@MLS Just watch the Cup games and follow a couple players. Then follow their teams and see if it feels right. Thats how it happens for most of us.
For me, it was Jurgem Klinsman, so Spurs. Plus I enjoyed going to London, so going to a game was an added bonus.
@jasonfitz@NashvilleSC@MLS If you want to follow one of the biggest teams, those are Manchester United, Liverpool, and (🤮) Arsenal. If you want to root for a big team that won’t always be the favorite, the Newcastle, Spurs, and Aston Villa are good choices. For an underdog feel that has US players, Fulham
