I live in Cyprus🇨🇾 & pay 0% tax on dividends because of this piece of paper.
It's called the Non-Dom status.
This is all you need to know:
> 0% tax on all dividends from your own companies
> 0% on dividends from stocks & ETFs
> 0% on interest income
> Valid for 17 years, with the option to extend it for a flat fee
This is actually the main reason why Cyprus is so attractive right now for entrepreneurs.
While the rest of Europe is shutting down incentives, Cyprus has this unique loophole.
But who knows how long this will be the case.
Just look at the last 2 years:
> The UK🇬🇧 abolished its Non-Dom status in April 2025
> Portugal🇵🇹 closed NHR for newcomers in 2024
> Italy🇮🇹 tripled its flat tax from 100.000€ to 300.000€ a year
But now it's getting interesting.
Everyone who got into Portugal's NHR before it closed kept their 10 years.
Everyone who moved to Italy before August 2024 still pays 100.000€.
The lesson here is: Waiting costs you money.
This is why we urge every European entrepreneur to apply for it as soon as possible.
The application for the Cyprus Non-Dom literally costs just 500€.
And you will receive a physical certificate from the Cyprus tax department.
The tax benefits in action:
Let's say you pay yourself 1.000.000€ in dividends.
The only cost that occurs is a 2.65% health care contribution on the first 180.000€.
Everything above that is completely tax-free.
So your total tax bill is 4.770€.
In Germany🇩🇪 the same dividend costs you 263.750€.
And in rest of Europe you pay:
> Netherlands🇳🇱 up to 31%
> France🇫🇷 31.4%
> Denmark🇩🇰 up to 42%
> Ireland🇮🇪 up to 52%
Everyone can apply for the Cyprus Non-Dom. Even non-EU citizens.
You just need to become a Cyprus tax resident. Either by spending 183 days a year here or via the special 60-day rule.
However, for the 60-day rule you need a home here (rented or bought) & a few other requirements that we're happy to explain in an individual consultation call.
The only people who can't get it are the ones who lived in Cyprus for 17 of the last 20 years.
This is the definition of being non-domiciled.
And it's the reason why locals actually pay tax on their dividend & interest income.
Now let's look at what the setup actually looks like:
1) You move to Cyprus & become a tax resident
2) We open your Cyprus company (3-15% corporate tax)
3) We apply for your Non-Dom certificate
4) You pay yourself minimum salary (0% income tax up to 22.000€)
5) You pay out everything else as dividends at 0%
Setup, accounting & audit all for under 5.000€.
This might be the best setup for entrepreneurs in Europe right now.
But most people will just bookmark this & never act.
I told you guys many times that Tor isn't safe.
8% of the network at its recent peak was compromised - Tor was stealing passwords, logins, and all user secrets.
Tor exit nodes must always be treated as untrusted.
Anything you input while using Tor could be intercepted. That 8% wasn't even the worst: in 2020–2021, around 23–28% of nodes were compromised and targeting crypto-users.
Of course, it has some use cases, and depending on the threat model, it could be a great tool. But remember that malicious nodes are always there looking for your data.
You could avoid that with a VLESS + REALITY + XTLS-Vision + uTLS setup, which sounds crazy and scary compared to:
>open Tor
>run Mullvad VPN
But if you want MAXIMUM SECURITY, traffic camouflage, and performance, Tor and VPNs won't cut it.
A VLESS server normally knows both who connected to it and where the traffic is going. Tor is better at distributing that knowledge between multiple independent relays.
Use Tor only if your model is just anonymity. Use REALITY when stealth and security matter.
Know your threat model and stay safe!
@0xDinoCrypto This is the disadvantage of having an account in a neobank. Tbh I got hit with the same thing on Wise though it was due to something tripping a proof of address check on my account. The only outbound transactions were AI subs BTW.
