If officials were actually held accountable for their actions, outbursts like this wouldn’t happen. The ref will not be suspended. He will not be fined. He will not have to answer questions. He’ll take his money, sleep in a hotel he didn’t pay for, and ref another game on Monday or Tuesday.

Shrewsberry will likely be fined and/or suspended today. He’ll have to apologize and answer for his actions despite it being a very human nature response to being shafted.

The system is broken. We hold officials in high regard like they’re the Pope.
