Last night I was bored and decided to write my own malloc implementation. Is it fast? No. Is it better than the real thing, definitely not. But it is mine.

@AtharvDubey206@yatharthmann In orbit, it kinda makes sense. You could have sustainable, consistent power. On earth, youd have to keep spending money on paying the local government for electricity and even then it might not be consistent. It makes sense to use them for training rather than inference
@VeritasErrant06 You have to give top1% performance to get the kinda placements that tier 1 or tier 2 colleges give you but yknow what at least the college lets you do that
B-but Chinese products are poor quality. What do you mean they're cheaper and perform better! Oh right! Chinese products have spyware in them. Ignore that we have spyware in ours too.
π¨ THE MEMORY CARTEL IS ABOUT TO FALL.
Ex-Samsung chip boss says heavy Chinese investment in the memory market could crush the 414% DDR5 price spike within a year.
Goldman calls it RAMageddon.
Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron control 70% of global DRAM and pushed prices from $6.84 to $27.20 in 3 months.
Now China is gearing up to flood the market.
Cheap memory = cheap AI compute = the cartel cracks.
@kiranurs@VeritasErrant06 They have a point tho. Parents can be influenced by their kids and it's just an unnecessary attack vector into the command chain
I'm using an ESP32 to sample the car's existing signal, turn, backup, and stop lamps, and then generate the waveform for a hidden, addressable LED strip:

I'm losing it! I keep making silly mistakes in code and then I need my seniors to bail me out. Putting similar looking variables in the wrong place, memcpy-ing the wrong length, using the wrong command accidentally. How do I improve??? I feel like such a shit programmer
