Oh Muslims! it is not every challenge that you participate in:
1. "Verily, Allah does not like such as are proud and boastful." Qur'an 4:36
2. “Do not be prideful! Surely Allah does not like the prideful." Qur'an 28:76
3. "Verily, Allah likes not any arrogant boaster." Qur'an 31:18
4. "Allah likes not prideful boasters." Qur'an 57:23
Al-‘Abbas ibn ‘Abdul Muttalib reported: The Messenger of Allah, SAW, said, “......, then after you will come people who recite the Quran. They will say: We recite the Quran, so who is better at reciting than us? Who has more understanding than us? Who has more knowledge than us?” Then the Prophet turned to his companions, and he said, “Is there any good in these people?” They said no. The Prophet said, “These people are among you from this nation. These are fuel for the Hellfire.” Sahihut Targheeb
Abu Malik al-Ash’ari reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Four traits in my nation are among the affairs of ignorance that they have not abandoned: boasting over status,....
Anas reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Were you not to sin, I would fear for you what is even worse: vanity.”
Musnad al-Bazzar
I fought the urge to pen my own narrative for a very long time. I wouldn’t call it fear neither would I ascribe my inability to lack of capacity. Today I’m glad that I filled that void.
For 10 days, I combed through important facets of my life for reflections and lessons.
This life is full of men who took up jobs they don’t like to cater for a family that does not appreciate them. Smh.
Such stories we’ve heard many times.
Appreciate the men in your lives..….if they are genuinely trying!
May Allah grant us happiness in our lives!
@Just_Ibrahym No he won't observe Qasr. Cause both Lagos and Ogun are regarded as "home" for him since he has a wife and family resident there.
Uthman bn Affan (Rohimahullah) is our Salad in this regard. He had families in both Makkah and Madinah, and whenever he shuttled he didn't do Qasr.
Abū Fulaan have two wives, both living in two different states, say Lagos and Ogun.
First wife lives in Lagos and Second wife lives in Ogun.
Will Abū Fulaan observe Qasr whenever he travels from Lagos to Ogun or not?
Give reasons
Common shirk that every Muslim should be weary of:
- Swearing by other than Allāh (eg: swear on mums, etc)
- Believing any sort of amulet 🪬🧿 protects from evil eye
- Doing good deeds to be seen by people or impress them
- Reading astrology, horoscopes and fortunes
As a Muslim, no matter what you are going through, don't go to Babalawo. Never go to Alfa onijalabi and don't ever go to any pastor to pray for you. If your problem cannot be solved medically or through therapy, speak only to Islamic scholars WHO ARE FIRMLY UPON QUR'ĀN & SUNNAH.
How about we memorize Qur'ān together? We would be starting with short Suwar (chapters) that can be taken a whole at once consistently for one week. Then, short verse(s) everyday for consecutive 7days. Space will last only 30mins. 8:30-9pm Nigerian time.
Q5: 90
"O you who have believed, indeed, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone alters [to other than Allāh], and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it (all of them) that you may be successful".
