@andy_pavlo@OtterTuneAI So sorry to hear. It’s an incredibly hard market right now with lots of strange things going on in M&A. You all built a great product and company regardless. The DB world very much still thinks you rock :)

“If you are looking to evaluate OSS alternatives in light of the OpenAI news, feel free to reach out, happy to help quickly assess options and formulate an OSS Plan-B.” - @VertaAI https://t.co/uDx26BZsoe
@oscar_moll_ Yeah, 75%+ of folks I speak to are building on OpenAI APIs and if that core foundation feels shaky, lots of folks are going to shut down initiatives as being "too risky" -- how can we be sure they will continue providing this service when they lost their CEO/Board Chair etc
Couldn't resist the meme! (Full disclosure: in time, I think open-source will be able to more than fill the gap, but OpenAI breakdown will likely be a big setback for the community in the short term)
@oscar_moll_ I think it opens up lots of opportunities for startups / other incumbents, but all of it will take a long while to build/bring to market. For enterprises, this will likely spook them more than anything and AI adoption will definitely suffer in 2024 (because trust has been lost)
