As the issue of compensation for miscarriages of justice is rightly in the news, it’s timely to note that in 2014, the government changed the law to make it all but impossible for people wrongly convicted and imprisoned to claim compensation.

@Ofcom will encounter enormous problems ensuring a reasonable level of compliance as most impacted orgs are unlikely to read an Act that is 288 pages long. Nor will most orgs want / be able to buy legal advice from the few lawyers who have read it & know what it actually means.
