@brunotp It‘s explained in the link. And to be clear, the tracking still works, there are just no predictions because of the server shutdown. So, you can keep using it for now or just export your data!
Data Selfie will shut down on July 1. The extension can still track your activity for you and save the data on your computer (and you can export that data), but it won't give you new predictions. Read more here: https://t.co/fso6V6oZzc
@m1rrag Thank you for saying this! For over a year the project was kept alive through a Flash Grant from the Shuttleworth Foundation and a Media Grant from the Mozilla Foundation, supported [in part] by a grant from the Open Society Foundations.
Quick tip: You can manage your data, that means import data e.g. from a different computer that has Data Selfie installed, you can export all your data, you can delete your data from your computer (but don't forget this is the only place it is stored, so that's final!)
In case you missed it: Firefox version it out! Find it here: https://t.co/HdJsDO6m71 and stats are public
P.S. Sorry for the radio silence! This has been a one-woman project and as you may have noticed there are a lot of issues to tackle when we want to protect our privacy!
@saurabhjkakade @SFFlashGrants @hangdothiduc Tested with all of that, except incogn, worked for me + others. Can you follow instructions here https://t.co/XwJToRIYTr to help fix for you
Data Selfie got an honorable mention in the students category #FCDesignAwards. 1.5 years ago, @hangdothiduc started this as her MFA thesis👊🏼 https://t.co/n7Ky0iXM99
@Antoine_Mrl Hi! So sorry for that! Since the start there are some people whose accounts aren't compatible. I've tested that it's not because of language
@TheScarlettGirl Chrome/Google doesn't know exactly what extensions do, as soon as a website is specified in the manifest, it's assumed anything is possible
