🎙️ Chris Wilder on if there's a potential for permanent signings this month
"Yeah, we've talked about it on a Zoom call yesterday. Really interesting Zoom call with a data company we're going to get involved with which is really good, opening up different avenues to recruitment. The new owners are very positive in terms of trying to help us out."

Everyone in the division would snap your hand off for our record, and we forget it wasn’t long ago that 10+ first teamers left the club all at once. And as discussed on the pod, a downswing in results was inevitable from the performances and underlying numbers! Onto the next⚔️
Mentioned on our last pod how we were due a regression in points.
Luck, variance, call it what you will — it’s all gone with us so far this season and yesterday it went against us. No drama. Move on.
Big Jan to come.
Tough result to take to some extent. Played a really solid 1st half imo, unlucky to go in at HT behind. Their second goal deflection could've gone anywhere. More concerning is Vini and Souttar - if Souttar's injury is serious enough he could well be headed back to Leicester :(
@tobysomeoneb I don’t think we’ll do much in Jan at all tbf (for that reason). Would need a massive window next summer. Another year in the Champ would do us better long-term but PL money too attractive. Happy to yo-yo in the medium term, provided we at least have a go at staying up in future!
You have to assume new owners have a plan to take us to that next step, would be a strange investment otherwise🤞🇺🇸
PA should be immensely proud of what he’s done for the club, not many owners leave clubs with this much more than they found them with⚔️

@JapaneseAcid I’ve seen a very mixed bag of reactions on here, but looking purely at the start and finish points of his ownership it’s hard to say it’s not been an incredibly fruitful period. There’s been some massive peaks and troughs in there too but that’s character building🤷♂️

Not pretty at all but a win is a win. Missed Souza’s presence in midfield today, felt like Davies and Peck want to play in the same places in the middle of the park. Hamer again showing why he’s one of the league’s best😮💨 #sufc
What a result!! Quality lacking for the majority of that game as expected for a derby.
Half time subs took them by surprise in the second half, Souttar and Souza absolutely rock solid.
🎶 Don’t go out tonight 🎶
@sam__joseph Yeah very true (and a brilliant stat!). I would’ve thought we’d get fewer but better average chances when leading as a result though which might have balanced the xG a tad, with teams committing more bodies when chasing the game against us and leaving space to attack.
Largely agree with the sentiment here, we’ve overperformed vs expected so far. We haven’t put games to bed very often and have gotten away with a few results (Tuesday!).
I still suspect Leeds will run away with it at some point, with Boro, Burnley and us fighting for auto.
Coventry City are fourth in the Opta Championship expected points table this season.
Their expected points tally is 23, which is eight more than their real points tally (15).
