At the same time, if cultural elements from other countries are used as inspiration, we sincerely hope their origins will also be acknowledged and proper credit will be given with respect.
Our request is not to criticize or diminish Thai culture. We appreciate the beauty of cultural diversity and believe every country’s heritage deserves recognition and respect.
As Myanmar people, we are simply asking for one thing: please give proper credit to our cultural heritage and acknowledge its origins. We hope our concerns will be heard with understanding and addressed respectfully.

Happy Thadingyut Festival to the people of Myanmar!

Known as Myanmar’s Festival of Lights, Thadingyut marks the end of Buddhist Lent (Vassa). Celebrated across the country, the festival sees homes, streets, and pagodas illuminated with candles and colourful lights, symbolising the return of the Lord Buddha from the celestial realm. The festival is also an occasion for families to pay respect to parents, teachers, and elders.
