2028 6’6” forward Ru’kai Bethel of Colonial High School put together a productive three days at the Villages Team Camp, showcasing a versatile offensive skill set and plenty of potential. Bethel showed the ability to shoot the three, both off the catch and off the dribble, displaying confidence as a floor-spacing threat. He also showed the ability to knock down mid-range jumpers, getting to his spots and converting from the wing and short mid-post areas. Comfortable facing up defenders from the perimeter, he used his size, length, and athleticism to create advantages and attack openings.
He made sound decisions within the flow of the offense, operating as a connector and, at times, serving as the hub, showing the ability to make plays for others and find teammates. He was active on the glass, rebounding his position and helping his team finish possessions. His mobility, shooting versatility, rebounding, and playmaking flashes highlighted a well-rounded game and made him a forward who impacted possessions in multiple ways.
Recently picked up an offer from Arkansas–Little Rock Trojans, Bethel is a player to watch in the Southeast region in the 2028 class.
