@nataliergibson So true… and some will never go back to the classroom. Education does not want to lose their knowledge, experience and wisdom leaving a hole for children, the sector and ultimately our communities.
@DrDemography@ABCthedrum As an English teacher they would also note a ‘teachable moment’, it is only teachable if the learner feels/finds the information valuable and useful. In this case the student feels no need for the information (to add value) that the English teacher values.
@Mr_Rablin This is only true if you are assessing the same content to identify the amount of growth. If it is new content being marked in the next task/assignment/exam, then an average mark across all assessments is absolutely appropriate.
