Every week, we receive 5–7 inquiries from people who need to re-home their pet pig. 😔🐷 We wish we could say yes to every single one, but we cannot.

Our sanctuary has limits. We are at capacity with 70 pigs we give a forever home to. All animal sanctuaries and rescues are constantly filled to the brim with animals in need of a home.

The reality is the demand will always outpace our capacity. That is exactly why education is at the heart of what we do here at Piggins and Banks.

Pigs are emotional, intelligent animals with complex needs. They grow fast, they bond deeply, they live long lives, and they deserve owners who are prepared for that commitment.

The best way to protect pigs is not only rescue them after things go wrong. It is to help people understand pigs...understand their behaviors...understand their needs...and understand why they need to be looked at with the same urgency of rescue as a dog or cat.
