We are a poor people..
Any romantic gesture that doesn’t revolve around money is seen as fooling
And knowing the so called ‘romance’ is always expected from only one party
Any Man still trying to be ‘romantic’ in this age and time is just a modern bingo.
No matter how much I like you, I will never force the vibe. I notice when the energy changes. I feel distance before it gets explained. I recognize when effort becomes one-sided. And no matter how deep my feelings are, I know how to detach without begging, chasing, or losing myself. I can want you and still walk away clean.
I can tell you I like women with big boobs today and you see me with one with small boobs tomorrow or I tell you it’s women with big bumbum and you see me with the opposite.
My real spec is a woman who likes me and treats me right.
That’s the only criterion that never changes.
A lot of you men don’t see yourself as the prize. You don’t know it is a privilege for a girl to have access to you? It’s a privilege for a girl to know where you live? It’s a privilege for a girl to get laid by you? Many of you have a car and your own space, you roll with babes who still live with their parents and can’t afford rents not to talk of a car, some of you even chill with girls who can’t afford their own transport, you don’t know it’s a privilege for her to even roll with the big boys?
Many of these babes can’t afford to visit some of the restaurants you take them to, and even when they go to those restaurants alone, they know what they order for, it’s only when they are with you that they want to try new expensive things out. You don’t know it’s a privilege to know you?
You don’t rate yourself at all.
It's when you get to your 30+ as a woman, and you do not have any man that will ask you:
"How are you doing my baby?"
And it's when you get to 35+ as a man, and you do not have any woman that will ask you:
"How are you doing my darling?"
He is not asking you that because he wants to sleep with you, but because he genuinely cares for you.
She's not asking you that because she wants to bill you or tell you her family problems, but because she genuinely cares about you.
That is when you'd realize how important it is to have your own man or woman that you'll call your spouse.
As you grow older in life, you'll grow lonelier.
Your mates, friends, siblings, colleagues will not sacrifice their family time because of you.
You'll find yourself making friends with people you naturally wouldn't want to be friends with because you're lonely.
It doesn't matter if you have all the money in the world.
Your money will only help you mask your misery to those who are close to you because of your money.
They'll continue to milk from you and giving you a faux sense of happiness.
If you sleep with different women, you'll be happy.
But after they leave, you'll feel dirty and empty.
And vice versa.
You need your own person.
You cannot do this life alone until you die.
Even if you do, you'll die unhappy and perhaps, unfulfilled.
End.
This is how I still act in my 20s.
I'm not explaining myself to any woman.
I don't give a fuck about your insecurities.
Got no time for bullshit.
I have lived most of my life being alone enjoying innermost peace, which is why I'm quick to cut women off at a slightest sign of drama.
I have no time for recycling drama. No strength to argue. Just nonchalant!
With all the daily life challenges, women are the least of my problems.
Leave me the fuck alone if you're not happy with me cause I'm not going to explain myself to you, apologize if I didn't wrong you or chase after a woman.
As long as my money is still in my bank account, it's all that matters.
Women are too small to stress me.
Men will fool themselves like this to please their wives so she uses his stupidity to gather engagements online and wonder why their wives no longer respect them.
It's a shame men no longer enter marriage with the mindset that they're superior and the head but rather, they now do bestie with an inferior gender and their subordinate.
This is why women lose respect for their husbands and the reason for the high divorce rate.
Our forefathers will be shaking their head out of shame in their grave for how weak modern men have become.
I agree with your sentiment that marriage shouldn't be rushed or started too early. 22 is too quite too early as even the human brain is not fully developed until 25.
So the right age should be 25-29 for women because of biology clock. And 25-40 for men.
Please stop advising women to wait till 40. Some women hit menopause even before 36, yet you expect women to wait till 40. Who will marry them?
You see how men even reject women who are already in their 30s. Please and please, don't gamble with your time. You're a woman.
Unless you don't really mind being single for life or in a childless marriage where pressure for family will push you into depression.
Above all, love God.
Divorce.
I hate the idea of divorce. I don't want a failed marriage. That's why I'm taking my time, preparing myself in all areas and learning daily.
One of the pety things I can consider as a big red flag in my woman is when she says, "I want to do this in case of divorce". Once I hear that word, there's no way I'm getting married to you.
In case of any issue of infidelity, once you support the woman who cheated on her husband whether "first" or as "payback", there's nothing in this world that would make me marry you.
Even if my wife cheats, I pray to never catch her or even get in the know. I pray she doesn't give me another man's child.
I made a post on a test and someone of you were telling me that it doesn't make sense to you. You don't know that your words tells a lot about you I guess. I can decide to never date you just because of one utterance from you. We could be cool as friends but nothing near relationship.
I have some very good female but I can never approach them because they've crossed the line. Once you think divorce is not a big deal, you're not the one for me.
I fear divorce and I want to do everything within my power, with the special grace of God to avoid it completely.
Above all, love God.
Bro to bro, one of the best decisions you can make when you start making money is to avoid dating broke women. Every man deserves to experience being with a financially stable woman.
Take yesterday, for example. It was my birthday, and the quality of gifts I received was amazing. There was not a single "Clear road, today a king was born" post in sight. Every gift was thoughtful, valuable, and well considered. Broke women simply could not have pulled that off.
I really do not care how beautiful or attractive a woman is. If you do not have a good job, a thriving business, or come from a financially comfortable family, chances are you are not the woman for me.
As a man who is doing well for himself, you have no business dating a student or someone with nothing going on for her unless you are comfortable with one-sided relationships. What exactly am I doing with a woman who cannot buy data for herself, cannot afford transportation to come see me, or cannot get me something, no matter how small? A woman who is always hungry, constantly facing one financial emergency after another, and always asking for money.
I am naturally generous. I love giving and surprising the woman I am with. Random gifts and thoughtful gestures come naturally to me. What I do not like is constantly being asked for help with basic necessities. If you are going to ask me for something, let it be something meaningful, not food, data, transport fare, or other everyday expenses.
I treat a woman according to the standard she has already set for herself. I buy gifts based on how she lives and what she can comfortably afford on her own. If I see you as a financially stable woman, I will treat you accordingly. If I see you as broke, my investment in you will naturally reflect that reality.
Women need to understand that financial stability is not a gender-specific responsibility. Learn to get your money up too. Build your career, grow your business, and become self-sufficient. You will be glad you did.
Marriag is a partnership
1. But your 'partner' who does not have money will not partner with you if you do not have money
2. Your 'partner' who does not have an apartment will not partner with you if you do not have an apartment
3. Your 'partner' who does not have a car will not partner with you if you do not have a car
4. Your 'partner' who is incompetent, will not partner with you if you are incompetent
5. Your 'partner's' money belongs to her, but your money belongs to the partnership
6. As you pour your money into the partnership, your 'partner' is pouring hers into her own family
7. You are expected to also cook, and clean the baby's poo, but she is not expected to also debug code, edit your videos, prepare your proposals, respond to clients, run your ad campaigns, build financial models, forecast market movements, backtest your trading strategy, negotiate your deals, source your suppliers, or manage your employees.
8. When you do not have money to pour into the 'partnership', everyone questions your competence and disrespects you. When you have money, everyone praises your 'partner' for bringing peace, favour and good luck
9. Your 'partner' who does not have money to rent a good apartment, will make rules for you who has an apartment, inside the apartment YOU rented 😩
10. In that apartment that YOU rented, your 'partner' will impose a curfew on you and lock you out if you return home at a time she does not like 😭
11. Before the partnership even begins, you are expected to propose, pay bride price, fund the wedding, rent/build the house, furnish it, buy the car, and bear the financial burden of starting the partnership, because apparently, this particular partnership requires one partner to provide the capital and the other to provide consent, prayers and vibes.
What a mouthwatering partnership for you. Gbefun!
Imagine if he had invested that N300k plus other monies he had been giving to her at just 24. By the time he gets to 30, with careful financial planning and discipline, he would be prepared to be a husband and father.
Let me repeat:
Your girlfriend is supposed to invest in you and make sacrifices for you, while you invest and sacrifice for the future of both of you.
But lack of patience and foresight and the love for toto is taking a huge toll on you young men.
And greed has taken a toll on you young girls.
A young man who is just starting life deserves to be in a relationship. It's how he would find his future wife and the mother of his future children.
It's not a period for him to waste scarce resources.
It's a period of vetting, cohabiting, helping each other, and living a prudent or frugal life..
Then he starts to build his life brick by brick while you, the girlfriend, support him, while he also leads you towards the right path and in line with your future goals and aspirations.
Stop all these transactional relationships you people are doing..
They're unhealthy, and they create unnecessary entitlement, lack of focus and misplaced priorities.
You should have sex if you want.
But sex should not be sold in your relationship.
He would always spend on you, but it should not be seen as a compensation for sex.
How will he spend on you?
1. When you go on dates.
2. When you cohabit with him from time to time.
3. When he wants to get you gifts.
4. Then occasionally dash you money.
Not him paying for your rent.
Not him buying expensive phones, hairs, shoes, bags etc.
Not him paying for your school fees.
And certainly not him buying you sanitary pads or feeding your family.
And all his earnings must be legitimate.
This is what young people in relationships should practice.
Contentment, discipline, and reasonable financial planning and future ambitions.
By the time you keep at it, you'd be building a healthy relationship and setting the proper foundations for your future, and possibly, marriage.
You would have earned your place, and be proud of yourselves.
Make no mistakes; you will definitely make mistakes.
You'll fight, quarrel, and even curse at each other.
It doesn't have to lead to breakups.
As long as no red lines are crossed.
Use each fight, quarrel, or misunderstanding as a teaching moment.
Where you have to apologize, do so.
Where you have to be accountable, do so.
Where you have to be transparent, do so.
This is my gospel for you all, this beautiful wet morning.
End.
If you have to give someone money before they can love you, respect you, or treat you well, then you're in for a very long ride.
Any relationship built on monetary value cannot stand when money is no longer part of the equation. The moment financial support becomes the foundation of the relationship, it also becomes the condition for good treatment.
As for those who have placed their girlfriends on a weekly or monthly salary, sorry o. You think you're being loved, but you may simply be financing an experience.
Stop the payments for a few months and let's see if the love remains the same.
Let's see if the calls are still as frequent.
Let's see if the affection is still as warm.
Let's see if the patience is still there.
Let's see if she still chooses you when your wallet is no longer speaking on your behalf.
Because real love appreciates generosity, but it does not depend on it to exist.
Many people confuse being needed with being loved. The two are not the same thing. A person can need your money, your lifestyle, your provision, or the comfort you provide and still not genuinely love you.
Life happens. Businesses fail. Jobs are lost. Unexpected responsibilities arise. Nobody remains financially comfortable forever.
And when the consequences of what you've built finally meet you, it will be much like the parable of the wise and foolish builders.
The wise man built his house upon a rock. The foolish man built his on sand. For a season, both houses stood. From a distance, they may even have looked equally strong. But when the rain fell, the floods came, and the winds beat against them, the one built on sand was washed away because its foundation was weak.
The storm did not create the weakness. It simply revealed it.
Relationships are no different.
A relationship built on character, loyalty, respect, trust, and genuine affection can survive difficult seasons. A relationship built primarily on financial benefits starts shaking the moment those benefits disappear.
The true test of love is not how someone treats you when you're spending money. It is how they treat you when there is nothing to gain.
When hardship comes, when the money slows down, when life stops being convenient, that is when the foundation becomes visible.
Never confuse access to your resources with appreciation for your person.
One is transactional.
The other is love.
And if the relationship collapses the moment the money stops flowing, then the problem was never the storm. The problem was what the relationship was built on from the very beginning.
My uncle was deeply in love with his girlfriend.
This man spent on her, defended her, and literally planned his future around her.
One evening, we were all sitting outside when she came to pick a fight over something small.
In the middle of the argument, she shouted,
“You’re useless without me.”
Everybody went silent.
He didn’t insult her back.
He just stood up quietly and walked inside.
A few weeks later, the relationship ended.
What shocked everyone was that he still loved her. You could see it.
But according to him, he could forgive anger, stress, even misunderstandings just not disrespect.
That was the day I realised some men recover from heartbreak faster than humiliation.
If you are “poor” all you need is a house to sleep in, food to eat, and a gadget to work with.
You don't have business in clubs, expensive restaurants, or expensive dates, no flashy lifestyle, and finally, stop dating hungry Nigerian women.
Practice delayed gratification and don't upgrade your life for the next 5 years.
If you care about your future as a poor man, you must do this.
℗
The most dangerous financial decision a Nigerian man can make is trying to impress a woman who has never once asked about his investment portfolio. We normalise men bleeding their savings on dates, gifts, and appearances to attract partners who measure value by spending, not building. Then we wonder why so many households collapse under debt five years into marriage. You cannot build wealth with someone who sees your discipline as stinginess. Attraction built on performance is a liability you will be paying for long after the honeymoon ends.
A man doesn't necessarily have to say "I am sorry" to his woman.
That's how men are built.
Men apologise more in their actions than in words.
It's left for you as a woman to spot it when he's apologizing.
If you keep waiting for "I am sorry", you may wait in vain.
End.
If you're the type who doesn't like going out.
Who doesn't like keeping too many friends,
Who enjoys your own company and finds peace in your own space.
You don't know what God has done for you.
You don't know the stress, drama and unnecessary problems God is saving you from.
I can tell you boldly that for the last 22 years of my life, I've lived this way, and I'm a living testimony because of it.
Call me any name you like, but I love it this way.
It has saved me from a lot of trouble, disappointment and unnecessary non+sense.
Peace of mind is expensive but not everybody knows that.
Something to think about.
