My monkey brain jumps to thinking Googles trying to nuke the reputation of AI (the thing killing its traffic) by showing how bad it can be to regular folks who merely google search..
But my wiser self recognizes Occam’s razor.
Perhaps Googles AI is crippled by the search engine.
R.I.P. Charlie Kirk
I didn't know Charlie personally. But he did send me a kind message last year. "I love all people" is what he said. If that is any indication of who the man was, then this country has lost someone special today.
Partisan politics did not stand in the way of him paying me a compliment, and it should not stand in the way of mourning him either.
We cannot become a society where expressing political views, even controversial ones, leads to violence. Whatever you think of his politics, Charlie was a decent man, a patriot, and a brave defender of his values. My heart goes out to his wife and his kids.
Think you can trust your own eyes and ears?

Think again.
Research shows that your political leanings or ideological tribe can literally shape what you perceive, not just how you interpret it.
Our brains don’t just filter information-they can rewrite what we notice, remember, and even what we think we “saw” in the first place.
So two people with different beliefs can watch the same footage and honestly report seeing two different realities.
This is called “cognitive illiberalism,” and it's the hidden force steering our judgments even when we think we’re being fair.
Here's what we know about cognitive illiberalism and how we can counteract it.
[Thread 🧵]
Trump “losing” in 2020 was good, interestingly. It allowed him to become unburdened by what had been.
Now he has built a dream team, learned his lessons, dumped the baggage, and had a chance to think about his legacy.
Further exposed the DNC too.
This puts the country in a better position now than it would have been otherwise.
A hidden blessing.
Wishing I could attend #RescueTheRepublic, but I’ll still be out of town.
Wishing for a peacefully impactful event for all who attend! You’ve got my support. 🇺🇸
I really miss talking to my dad.
Especially our long conversations and sharing different perspectives.
I find myself wondering what he’d think about X, Y, Z..
