I want to know what this rapist headmaster has on the most powerful people in this country because the level of protection and institutional failure surrounding him is deeply disturbing. Who is protecting him, and why has accountability taken this long?
Our schools exist to provide education. We should not tolerate them being reduced to sexual assault and rape hubs.
We have failed them by not protecting them. We have failed them by not preventing it. We cannot fail them again.
Justice now. Justice without delay. Justice Today
The part of the documentary that broke me the most was when one of the victims’ fathers asked that so is it because they are nobodies and they don't have money? Is that why they cannot get justice?
Chale… 💔
The police have confirmed to me that two victims reported sexual abuse by the Obuasi SHTS head, but one victim's father withdrew the case. Since last year, people have always intervened to talk the victims' families out of taking action against the headmaster.
Every time these issues come up, someone always wants to play devil’s advocate, and their “brilliant” point is, “Oh, but sometimes a 14 year old girl can seduce a 47 year old man.”
While we’re on the matter, children are NOT in school to serve housemasters and housemistresses.
Stop making children cook for you, clean your homes, wash your clothes, fetch water and perform other personal chores that have absolutely nothing to do with their education.
They are students, not your domestic workers!
And please, spare me the “we did it in our time” argument.
Just because you endured something doesn’t mean another generation should have to.
Some traditions deserve to end with us.
Children go to school to learn, not to serve the very adults who have been entrusted with their care.
“This is where I teach, so why shouldn’t I post? If you want to terminate my appointment today, go ahead. I am ever ready!” - A female teacher and mother carrying her child in a rural community in Ghana expresses frustration over the challenges of teaching in a village.
When you watch the documentary and the kind of victims involved, you'll notice a pattern.
He carefully picked his victims: family members whom no one would fight for. He's not sick; he's intentional.
Professor Gyampo is in one of the big positions in government.
an entire international investigative journalist crew released a documentary that had him appear multiple times about sleeping with students for grades.
the reward for degenerate sexual behaviour is access here.
We have created a culture where abusers have become far too bold in this country. Because why is he still confidently running for a position in the wake of all this? The audacity is crazy to me. Absolutely no self-awareness on his stupid part!
I just can’t understand why all these adults failed these kids like this. In this case, they were bold enough to report several times, even to the police!! and nothing came out of it. I’m sad oo smh
19 victims you know? 19 students. And apparently the number will be higher if they add those from Toase and Juaben. 19. Leave the presumption of innocence to the court. After all the complaints, he hasn’t even been cautioned by the police. This man deserves to be ostracized.
Having a female vice president is meaningless if sexual criminals are permitted to hold government and partisan positions.
Your party is supposed to mirror ethical leadership.
It must investigate the character of its potential leaders, whether or not the case is in court.
Vet the said chairman hopeful again.
The vetting committee must do its job again.
👨🏾🍳🇬🇭: I’m so livid this morning. I’m boiling, ankasa!
It had to take a JOURNALIST to finally get a response from government and institutions established to protect citizens in OCTOBER, over allegations dating as far back as FEBRUARY!
For EIGHT MONTHS, where were these institutions? What were they doing while the alleged abuse continued? Their inactions clearly emboldened the alleged perpetrator and exposed more vulnerable people to harm.
Why must victims wait for a journalist to expose their suffering before the institutions paid to protect them begin to act?
A country that cannot guarantee its citizens even the barest minimum of protection has failed them.
And no amount of political rhetoric can excuse that. Tueh!

Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is Ghana's first female Vice President and a former Minister of Education. Nineteen girls in a public SHS have come forward and we're still waiting for her to say something. Madam VP if not this then what?
Stop giving Gender minister appointments to women who cannot work!
Reserve it for the ‘mad women’ who can raise hell.
The so called ‘mother figures’ are failing us.
