@David_C68 I wish I wasn’t a born pessimist but it’s how I’m wired. Loads of us are this way for many reasons (life experience/brain chemistry/neurodivergence). It manifests in our outlook on football as well as pretty much everything else. Honestly, I wish I could switch it off but I can’t
Let’s all get the fuck out of here, shall we…
If any of you want to share in my existential lufc dread on a slightly less hellish platform.

Feels like everyone is abandoning this hell hole for bluesky in a day (including me). Never updated this app to “X”, so it’s still twitter on my phone. If I can bin it off without ever having to update, I’m claiming a minor victory over that horrible Bond villain prick.
@footballtweet Far too much respect is given to Guardiola. He didn’t change the game. His tactics are all derived from other coaches and he’d maybe not have won anything, ever, if he’d only ever managed mid table table teams.
Have to admit I’m baffled by the complacent positivity surrounding Leeds this season. Realistically 4 points off Sheff U, despite beating them. Not much to suggest this season ends up any better than last. Sleepwalking into the playoffs in a very average league.
@lufcstats Meh. Same old. Loads of the ball. Shit final ball. Missing chances. Not shooting when they should. Should be putting these games to bed a lot easier.
@GideonNisbet@anon_opin Of course, but you’re missing my point. I’m not excusing bad teaching. Arguably, natural talent & ability are the defining factors behind success in creative subjects. I was bad at maths, good at art. My art teachers taught me little. Maths teachers tried. Its not all on teaching
@steve_mc87@anon_opin Not even remotely similar in how you teach those subjects. Especially maths & Eng-lang. Both routed in theory. There’s a clear right and a wrong. Creative ability isn’t teachable in the same way. You can facilitate it, but teaching someone to be creative who just isn’t, is hard.
@LUFCMOTcom Harrison at 10? Very little creativity in midfield. A lad up top who only scored 6 in the championship last season. A child at RB who got skinned by Championship wingers…
It’s a pretty shite lineup lads. We’d finish rock bottom regardless of manager here.
@JoeDonnohue Should be one where we’re looking to improve on the goal difference, seeing as we’re making this season way tighter than it needed to be. No more just sitting back once we go 2 up. Feels like we need a massive win to kick start something.
The Ballon d’Or is largely a load of bollocks anyway. But why is everyone getting all pissy because a lad who is by no means the best player in the world hasn’t won a trophy he in no way deserves? Would be nowhere near it if he wasn’t a Brazilian playing fog Real Madrid.
@joeeule@NoContextBrits You know that popular tv series “breaking bad”. Was a great watch. Anyway. Walter White wouldn’t have had to resort to cooking meth if he was British. You can hopefully work out why. Think on that for a while, pal.
@richwalker10 @DavidRo63584857 This is it. Think the lad maybe needs a sport psychologist. He’s doing everything right apart from his finishing. Different level, but he seems to score tfor fun for Spain u21s. There’s a natural finisher in there somewhere, just think his head is getting the better of him.
